Man arrested for streaking at Super Bowl says he was paid $375K for stunt


The man who charged across the field during the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s Super Bowl says he pulled the stunt to gain hundreds of thousands via an online bet.

Yuri Andrade, 31, was charged with trespassing after streaking across the Raymond James Stadium field in a pink leotard and black shorts as the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Buccaneers battled it out in the last quarter.

The resident of Boca Raton, Florida, reportedly got the idea to streak from a bet stewing on gambling website Bovada, which offered +750 odds, $100 bets pay $750, so he decided to conjure up bets from friends and associates to boost his chances.

He said playing a part in the gambling and the stunt, which involved him wearing a pink leotard with the words “Vitaly Uncensored” written on the front during the game, got him $375,000.

Bovada has responded to Andrade’s claims and says it is investigating “betting irregularities,” which could nullify the wagers made in favor of the stunt.

“We’ll be reaching out to all those players impacted by this event shortly.”




Andrade posted a $500 cash bond and was released Monday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Jeep pulls Bruce Springsteen ad after drunken driving charges

Legendary singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen has been charged with driving while intoxicated after allegedly driving while inebriated in a closed beach area in New Jersey, and his Super Bowl commercial has been pulled by Jeep.

The incident reportedly happened Nov. 14 at the Gateway National Recreational Area, and the 71-year-old was cited for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area, according to an NPS statement obtained by the Asbury Park Press.

The park sits on a peninsula, about 15 miles north of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The area includes beaches and hiking trails, according to the statement. The native New Jersey resident has a court appearance through Federal Court in Newark because the Gateway National Recreation Area is federal land.

“Springsteen was cooperative throughout the process,” a park spokeswoman told the publication.

On Sunday, the “Glory Days” singer was featured in a Super Bowl commercial for Jeep. In the two-minute ad, Springsteen purports finding a middle and trusting our nation’s guiding principles.

“All are more than welcome to come meet here in the middle,” The Boss recites in the ad. “It’s no secret the middle has been a hard place to get to lately, between red and blue, between servant and citizen, between our freedom and our fear.”

ABC News reported that Jeep, which is owned by Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles), announced Wednesday it would remove the commercial from its social media pages until “facts can be established.”

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate,” a Jeep brand spokesperson told ABC News in a statement. “But it’s also right that we pause our Big Game commercial until the actual facts can be established. Its message of community and unity is as relevant as ever. As is the message that drinking and driving can never be condoned.”

Springsteen has no prior DWIs or arrests in New Jersey, according to public records. His team did not respond to requests for comment.

 

That's an expensive DWI, but I'm sure he can afford it.
