We're considering something similar. I've toyed with the idea of a "shop" with an "office" (beroom) bathroom and kitchen area "break room". A live-in shop while we build a house. So far, it's just a consideration. The missus doesn't like the idea of living in a shop, or having a shop that is bigger than the house.

    I've seen barn houses.

Big ol barn, renovate the interior for home living and a big garage. Huge space.

I think I’d just end up living in it tbh. Theres some pretty sweet ones I’ve seen. Some neighbors put a loft in their shed to live in while they built their house. I dont really care to have a big fancy house like some people do.. you could take like 1/4 to 1/2 of a pole building and put in 2 levels thats finished. Ive seen a couple that have a deck on the upper level (inside and out) that would be pretty sweet.

    Good call.

I've been toying with the idea of buying an airstream lately. Live in it while doing something like Rich.

Exactly. I really like the modularity of the whole concept. It ain't beautiful, but for cost/ function/ form analysis is hard to beat. Especially if you have more than one vehicle and a trailer. Which I do, and am struggling with in our current space.

I think if I end up buying a winter vehicle for us to supplement the FR-S, my argument will get pretty strong.

Figure you'll be down once a month or so anyway....

Hence the Mighty Vac pump, pump to pressure, open valve, consume beer, shut valve when it starts flowing out.

You have added so much to the KCTW @Juisebocks
If @Mrs2Fang and I ever do this again it would definitely be a full on shouse. Our house is much bigger than we need, and more shop/work area is always nice.

This struggle is all too real. Was just toying with building another .308 for the wife just for something to do.
And I already have more than enough things that I can't get too....

Damn, my colorado trip group getting bigger.

2x Taco, 2x 4Runner, and a jeep. Possibly @Dex__43 if he wants to repeat the trip for 3x Taco.

What were the dates? I'm still interested in meeting up with you guys when we're also out there.

@Sociopenguin I know that sometimes all it takes to get people to follow their dreams is permission. I am willing to donate as much permission as I can in order to help people build rigs, shops, houses, portfolios, and also to empty their wallets to do so. :spending:
