Plug and Play Brake Light taps

Damn, sorry. Got kind of hectic there I believe I might have enough to squeeze out one more, I’ll check when I get home tonight. If not, I have a few more pieces on the way right now, so it won’t be but a couple days. Hopefully before Monday even so I don’t have to go back to the post office Either way, your first in line for the next one

Is there a way to get this to work with the baja designs RTL?

 

Where does this tap in, at the bulb?

It’s two OEM plugs. A female and a male plugged that are wired together to make a connection from your tail light to your truck wiring. With two wires coming off of it to attach to your third brake light or whatever. In the description you can see the two plugs and the black and red wire coming out.

This would be able to feed the brake portion. That being said, making a plug and play for all of the functions of the RTL (turn/brake/reverse I believe?) is possible. I am not sure of the amp draw of the RTL though, so worst case plug-n-play would also include a power wire ran from the battery and a chassis ground. I can reach out to BD (or maybe @memario1214 might have the info?). But as to this particular application, this plug could be part of it, but I’d say if you’re going to do a RTL, let’s do it as an all in one solution.

It taps in at the connector for the bulb. So not a wedge connection or anything.

 

I love alternatives to cutting oem wire. If I needed one I would def get in line to buy one!
