There's still a fair amount of snow on the rim, it's melting away but the rim is closed anyway and usually doesn't open back up until April.

I have all kinds of alternates but the purpose is the BDR so, I dunno.

Well crap. We need to come up with another plan then? My TO just approved for the 26th. To have all 3 days available.
If AZ is out. What about southern Utah? Elephant hill? Do need to get permits for it though. But easy online from what I see for a group back country one.
If not then there’s a bunch open around monument valley area.
In AZ what about near Kingman? Moss wash and that old mansion out there?

Oh we’ll be doing something that weekend for sure don’t worry! But looks like it likely won’t be rim road. Anyone interested in a Sedona trip?

more maybe we do southern Utah? I have to map that out though...

I love Southern Utah and can offer up advice on some cool places to go. Still cold though and recently had some customers take my truck out there and got stuck on a fairly easy road, so it's more difficult to travel in the winter.

Alstrom Point is almost unrivaled though........

Well I will be down for running the BDR at a later date. There were still a few things I wanted to get done to the truck that were not gonna be done by the end of this month. I'd be 50/50 for an alternate plan, though.

Have you been there? It's a pretty cool place and the trail past it goes all the way out with other things to see like an old mine ect.

We have the time off and are planning to do something that weekend so we are still in. How many in the group are in no matter where we go?

No havent been. Been eyeballing pics and videos of getting out there. Just need to find the right time and at least 1 other capable to go with me. (ie; not a spacer/block lift and no winch truck)
Looks like a good wash trail to run. Challenging but not over the top. With a bypass it looks that parallels it for those that dont want to hit the rocks.

Its probably the last weekend I'll have off for a bit. So, yes I'm in. Unless work changes.

Anyone hear about this? Arizona Peace Trail? It’s a massive off-road loop around western Arizona put together by multiple OHV clubs and BLM. Maybe we could do a section of it?
