I am which is why I’m pissed about this issue...
i brought up the tsb to the dealer but my truck is already updated from factory so service advisor recommended reseting learning values in ecm back to day 1 but the truck is the same if not, worse after..

Well, the later software is better, judging from what is posted. I've sampled it on the MT side and agree.

I'm a big fan of the LV Resets but can see how that could happen. How long as it been since the Reset? Some stuff can take around 1k to settle out. That said, I flashed a 2021 and the AT behaving was the thing that the owner liked the most.

There should be no great changes but you might notice small differences driving the same routes. It might be good to chat with the dealer and let them know that the Reset didn't go well. At least get it documented.

While I won't argue that the 3rd gen V6 drivetrain is a complete dog, below 4K RPM anyway, we own 2 ('18 & '20 TRD OR AT 4X trucks), I have not noticed these driveline vibration complaints with either truck. I realize this does nothing for the OP, but it is not an across the board issue. If anything, the '20 is bit smoother/quieter operating but that might just be 2 years and 30K miles difference between the 2.

I mean my truck off the lot up to about 4,000 miles, it drove absolutely beautiful and out of nowhere i started feeling a bunch of querks... i was euphoric when i got this thing. I couldn’t stop driving it.

Mine does this too, consistently. 2017 OR, bought new, done it since day one.

I feel a small vibration under my butt, plus a very small but noticeable surging forwards and back under either 2 conditions:

1: Maintaining speed 48-51 MPH on flat ground (only these speeds)
2: Any speed, but going up a small incline where engine RPM is 3,500 or less

At this point I have changed my driving habits to avoid feeling the shudder/surging.

I should note that I did get the transmission TSB update for the 2017 a couple years ago.

So question for everyone, does TC shudder always cause RPMs to jump up and down ?

I just started noticing this. It shudders in D when slowing between 40-20 mph and it doesn't happen when in S3 or S4. I am planning on taking it to the dealer and am sure I will get the "you dont have stock wheels/tires" answer. I am going to ask for a transmission fluid check and possible flush and fill.

    Wish me luck.

Folks who have been monitoring have said that the TC is in flex lock anytime the Taco is coasting.

Many things can cause a controlled slip transmission to not control the slip.
TC clutch, related solenoids, related fluid circuits, contaminated atf, software...
This fellow fixed his with new atf; although, he had close to 90K on the original atf. Not necessarily saying it's your fix, but dirty atf is dirty atf, regardless of mileage.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...er-throwing-parts-at-it.706726/#post-25090597

My first step would be to check the atf level and condition.
