Are these compatible with the maxtrac spindles? I'm slowly replacing the front end and thinking about buying these when the time comes.

The Maxtract lift spindles aren't deep enough for the aftermarket PreRunner hub, they should have bored them all the way out.

Aw man that sucks I was really liking this option as opposed to others that still need to be assembled. Thanks for the response

I'm going out of town for two weeks, three 4x4 sets are boxed and my wife has agreed to ship them for me. All orders after those will have to wait until I get back. Thanks for your continued support.

Admittedly haven't read through the entire thread (but I did read about 10 pages worth), but this seems like a good price for two of these (especially since NAPA wants $219 for one)...can anyone speak to the longevity of these? Mainly asking because I don't have a garage or hardly any tools, so each fix is an inconvenience to others (maybe shouldn’t have bought a 14 year old truck? ;) ), and I just want these to last a long while (not a hard wheeler) :) My right bearing is bad and would like to replace asap :)

I just bought and installed these a week ago, so I can't answer directly, but the thread is almost 3 years old without complaints. That's like dog years for a vendor.
I would think any premature failures would be caused by a bad bearing from a non-visual manufacturing defect, which is out of 05Taco's control, or maybe from jumping your truck. I haven't seen any of that in this thread.

For people with these prerunner lift spindles, are their only option(s):

    1. Get all new parts from the toyota dealer.
    2. Find usable original cores that we can send you to rebuild?

I'm not rebuilding them. I did it in the past and tore up my bearing splitter, there's no room to get a good bite. I had considered getting machinery to alter the hubs so they do work but it's a money losing investment with the little demand.

I could make assemblies with hubs from Toyota, would obviously be more but still cheaper than going through them.

Another stupid question: is everyone doing the recommended seals (1st post) while you're in there? I think I know the answer to this, but still, something inside me is apparently seeking jest and humiliation

    Everyone? No. Smart people? Yes.

According to my calculations, in 70K miles, that CV shaft has turned 44,117,647 revolutions in those seals. I'd say it's time to be replaced in order to protect the new bearing.
