Will the passes actually be open in June?

Awesome. I'm putting in for time off for the trips we have planned and I hadn't planned that one yet.
Two actually. We do obedience and conformation shows (competitive dog shows, yes, like Best in Show) when COVID isn't a thing.

Most are open mid to late June. Black Bear might not be traversable until July, but others are open relatively early in June.

I am terrified of falling off sheer trail edges, so unless I end up with some sort of CJ-2A sized vehicle, I'll probably never do Black Bear.

Will have to pull that bad boy out again.

I can't imagine them staying closed for summer. I do see some of them mentioning seasonal closure. Juicebocks right about Black Bear Pass. But it says it is weather dependent.

Already a big group so far and it's possible I'm carrying 2 additional folks. Was kind of enjoying the idea of riding solo with less gear.

I won't impose upon you then lol. I was just thinking that we're usually in that area at that time of year.

@Tigerian I hear you like Corgis. So here's two Corgis on two Corgi pillows.

Well, if it works out that we can meet up for a day or so of trails, we don't usually have anybody go with us. The only other person that normally would, can't this year. So we're not really a crowd anyway lol

I don’t think it’s necessarily their choice for them to be closed so much as it depends how much snowfall there is that season and when it decides to melt. You can’t really fit a snowplow on those trails lol

some years it might be June, others it could be July. Just something to keep in mind

Oh yeah, I understand that completely. Any preparation is important to me though. I left a post in the Colorado BS thread for them local boys thoughts.

They really are. Ms. Bocks' parents have only had GSD and that's one of the reasons we love them so much. Very smart, very loyal, sometimes needs a job to do or they get ornery.
They'll likely be able to tell you when they start testing them out themselves. Some of the 4WD clubs are responsible for some trail maintenance and I've seen them and their redonkulous rigs buried up to the rockers in snow in March.
