Chili ground 80/20 chuck, one onion, 1/2 an entire garlic clove, 1/2 cup chili powder, season to taste.

I only use beans, garlic, onion, chili and broth in my chili. The beans aren't needed, but my family likes beans. I also only use chili ground beef or rough ground beef for the meat.

The cornbread was no recipe, but I'm trying to find a sweet spot with minimum ingredients (so I can cook it camping).

1 cup corn meal
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup shredded cheese
1 tbsp un-salted butter, melted
1 egg, beaten
1 1/4 cup whole milk

Set oven to 375.

Mix dry ingredients. Beat milk, butter (let it slightly cool to prevent cooking the egg or add in the order of this sentence) and egg together then add to dry mixture. Add cheese once mixture is a batter.

Heat cast iron just shy of cooking meat temp. Grease with either butter or rendered fat. Pour batter into greased warm/hot pan.

Cook until lightly brown then let cool for 10 minutes before transferring or cutting.

Temple is only bad at the southern part where 190 comes in (that is actually Belton, not Temple).

Waco is a nightmare on i35.
