Probably don't wanna ask . A lot of it depends on the hull and cruise speed. I will say the a quint of 450Rs on the back of a big cat compared to a mono the cat can get 1mpg at a higher cruise speed than any of the same size monos on the market. So keeping that in mind I'd say on a cat cruise you may actually see just under 1 mpg and monos are probably going to be closer to the .5 mpg at cruise for the big boy CCs.

Yami is good I too look at it like you do the Merc just does a lot of things better. I wish that new 600 would of taken a note from the new zuk with pushing the engine up over and as far forward as possible over the pivot. It would put less stress on the transom and help a little with some of the weight balancing. That zuk 350 is like a mini version of the 600 in a lot of ways. Both to me are really pushing the envelopes in their markets. I think that the Merc 600 will be far more successful than the 7marine.

Does playing with the trim get you any better speed or ride like it does on the "normal" hulls?

It doesn’t plane out quite like a V Hull but I can’t really go much over 35 without trimming. Pushing the trim up to the 1/4 mark let’s me get up to 40. Don’t think a regular pontoon acts like that as much with the triple toon and the “lifting Strakes” it kind of mimics a traditional boat.

Intersting and those lifting strakes are totally different than a normal hull and huge!

SPS. So can only take up to 200 HP. But I’m kinda thinking anything over 150 is overkill, for Lake Wylie anyway.

Tahoe is beautiful year round. Went out there in July a few years back, wheeled the Rubicon, got drunk as shit on a boat, spent too much at the casino, and sobbed soft kitty on the plane ride home. GREAT trip.

I wasn’t joking. If the job is good and you can find a place to live you should do it!

That’s vague and not at all a good idea! For example, you have an opportunity to make $10k on a drug run, scooting heroin across the northern border!

I don’t see a problem with that? He would be $10k richer!
