    Just curious...

This is my second Gen 3 and I have had it for slightly over a year. It is a 2020 TRDOR 2Wdrive with slightly over 16K miles. Recently, I noticed that if I come up on a stop sign a little fast or stop quickly for any reason a dinging sound or beep (only one) will occur. I don't have the sensor package (not sure what the option was called) or navigation. I don't recall it ever make a beep sound on my 16' SR5 and haven't really noticed it on my 2020 up until a month or so ago. Have I turn on some warning indicator? It doesn't bother me that much (not enough to waste my time at a dealer)...just curious.

There are people on this great forum that know more about the Tacoma than Toyota does but I'm not one of them. I like to think of TW as Tacoma's Google.

Don’t know if this would be it, but from what understand, all 2020’s have TSS. Something like Toyota Safety Sense. It gives you dynamic cruise control and tells you if there is an object in from if you. I don’t know how that would be making the “ding” you’re talking about, but figured I’d mention it in case you didn’t know you had it. I would think it would only ding like that if something is in front of you.
