With the money you have saved in gas, you can now replace that scratched up instrument cluster :p

Add more weight. I get 8.7 in headwind, 12.7 city, and 15.9 tailwind.

People are concerned with their gas mileage because they need to save some money to buy their $3000 RTT because sleeping on the ground in a $250 tent is for peasants

Hahah...this is TacomaWorld...buy an RTT for $3,000 dollars then sell it two months later after one use for $1,800 because it was impractical as shit

Best fuel stingy vehicle with 4 wheels I ever had was an '89 Toyota Celica GT with the a 2L 4 popper couple with a 5 speed manual.
It had a 15 gallon gas tank with 34 mpg.......range was 500+ miles. Couldn't sit in it long enough to empty the tank, my tank had to be emptied first.

Worst fuel hungry beast I had was a GMC 2500HD with a 6L V-8, automatic, 4.10 rear end.......25 gallon tank at 12 mpg ....range 300- miles. My commute to work had me filling it every other day when fuel was over $4/gal. Bought a Toyota Corolla CE for my commute, the fuel $$ saved paid for it.

My stock Tacoma getting 19+ mpg in decent weather is completely acceptable. Winter mpg.....just ignore it, fill when empty.

I wanted to respond to VBPiper and WavesOnline...

I'm in So Cal until next month...this truck has not yet seen Maui. Waiting for my camper shell, much cheaper than on Maui. But...The water's cold at Trestles, can't wait to go in the water in only board shorts..

And those gauges are original to the truck. It's the least expensive 2018 SR model. Thanks!

My buddy owns a white Prius. He parked next to my rig one night while drinking outside. He bragged about getting 45 mpg. But then said it's the most embarrassing 45 mpg ever and would trade it with my 15 mpg any day. I'm sure its cause of the IPAs we were downing but damn we could not stop laughing.

Looks fun and no surprise on the mpg! Keep driving!

My 2019 (stock) AC after 29 tanks has averaged 17.5 mpg.

I get absolute crap for gas mileage. I have a 3" lift, with 275/70/17 BFG KO2's and I average 14.5-15mpg before conversion. which probably would then make it 16mpg. I also did the OV3 tune and still don't get any better.

My problem is it is 2021 so every vehicle should get better MPG than they do.

I drive a 2020 O.R. 4x4 and I only get a few more MPG than my other truck (I don't romp on it and only get 17-18 MPG)

My other truck is a 1989 K5 full size which gets 15 MPG when I am not romping on it.

Technology has given us direct injection and all sorts of things to increase power at lower displacement.... why not add an “eco button” when you do not need the gobs of torque or HP?

I don’t know how y’all have it so good but my MPG is consistently around 12. I’m in 4hi all day during the work week which I know contributes to the poor fuel economy but it pretty shitty having to fill up every other day. A full tank get me 250 miles.

My 2019 A.C. 4x4 is taller in height, within 2" in length, 4" in width and 20lbs in weight of my new 1989 Sliverado regular cab 4x4 with an 8' bed ! Trucks have become bigger when today's mid size equals a full size of 30 years ago...
