Rear drums locking up in the cold

    Because I had places to be and I was banking on the brakes letting go eventually, and I was right. Also, once the drums are a little hot, they don't grab so well and you can go about your day.

    Anyways, the dealer adjusted the preload on the drums a few weeks ago: the parking brake handle now operates like it did from the factory (gotta pull it way up!) and no more randomly-locking-up drums. Hooray.

    Not sure if its been mentioned...I would try engaging 4 high after I've parked on the slope, then leave it in first or reverse. 4 tires resisting the roll instead of 2. No e brake.
