Sketchy drive into work this morning. No one else showed up. I did some warranty claims with Apple and then my boss called and said go home lol.

Lucky! I drove my truck into work (first time in a long time driving for than 5 feet) to avoid moving and unhitching the cruiser from my trailer. I have to move a mill and lathe later today, really hoping my second covid shot doesn't kick in and make me feel run down until Saturday.

Driving to San Diego for the weekend, leaving in a couple hours. The 4Runner will be hitting the 300k mile mark on the trip. I'll need to remember to pull over to take a pic of the odo.

I get em as an allergic reaction randomly sometimes. Don't bother it and they go away in a few hours usually.

Ah I keep hearing how the 2nd shot is making some people feel terrible for a day or two. No clue when I’ll get the shots. I’ll be one of the last groups to qualify.

Yeah, once you have some anti-bodies built up from the first it's a good sign that all is working as it should if the second shot gets a strong immune response. Downside is, then you get a strong immune response over a three day weekend haha. But I'll load up on liquids and get over it. I've got Minecraft, a couch, and a couple days to be lazy.

I've heard anywhere from 4 hours to a day from the 2nd shot. Not that I have any personal experience yet. I'm still waiting to basically hear anything about getting shots here in Tucson.

It started hurting yesterday, I just though it was my contact irritating my eye for some reason. Now my eye lids all swelled up and there’s a little, white bump under it that’s super tender.

Interweb says to run it with something warm a few time a day, see how it goes.

A coworker had one for a few months he couldn't get to go away. Did a teledoc visit, got antibiotic eyedrops and it was gone in a week.

Felt frisky and bought some new front shocks for the BMW, just some Bilstien B4s and a new coolant sensor since I keep breaking those. I swear, I'm just gonna code the stupid thing out if this one breaks and I can check the coolant manually.

Coolant sensor? How do you manage to break that? Is it for the coolant level?

It just checks the level in the expansion tank, it's a no contact sensor. The float inside the tank has a neodymium magnet and this thing is literally just a reed switch that goes closed circuit when the magnet is near it to signal low coolant. I dunno how it fails, this is the third one the car has had, I said fuck it. I'm gonna throw an aftermarket one in instead of OEM. It literally doesn't even sit in the coolant I don't know how it manages to go bad.

Interesting. I can see it being in a luxury car but it also sounds kind of gimmickey, especially if it tends to fail a lot like yours has.

This talk about vaccine, they're offering it to veterans.

Not sure I even want it though.

I don't even get the flu shot; just never get sick not even the flu.
