It should be. But there aren't many AC TRD Off-Roads being made. The dealers don't have to come off a lot on these.

The temps have been sub-freezing here - and in my garage - for the last week. I finally took a hair dryer out with me and installed the Spotter Mirrors. Simple process - I followed the recommendation of someone else here and after tilting the OEM mirror all the way up, just grabbed the bottom with my hands and popped the bottom clips out instead of using a pry tool. The top comes out easily after that. The rest is just transferring the wires and popping the new mirror back into the retainer. The hardest part was getting the heater wires off the original mirror - they clamp on pretty snugly. I ended up using a small flat tip screwdriver to pry the clips gently up and off. 10 to 15 minute job including heating up the plastic a bit with the hair dryer.

After installation, I took the truck out on the highway to better adjust the mirrors and test the BSM function. All works well and I much prefer the views you get with the Spotter mirrors. No regrets on this mod.

I also managed to get this mod done. Hardest one yet - I give it a +15 Hp gain.

I assume the spotter mirrors still use the BSM sensors in the rear bumper, correct? It would be nice if someone came up with a mod to relocate the sensors to the rear tail lights so we don't lose the BSM function when the rear bumper is replaced.

Plugs into the existing wiring harness and uses the existing sensors.

Picked up my 2021 TRD OR in army green two weeks ago, already had a chance to test it on the trail. Handled the mud and snow like a champ! Loving the AG!

For the life of me I can’t understand how anyone would want to replace a factory bumper much less one equipped with factory sensors? Is there something I’m missing? I just paid 42k for a 2021 AG ORDC. The last thing I’m thinking about doing is tearing off factory stuff and replacing with aftermarket? I can see stuff like better tires or a mirror with a better view but a bumper? With all do respect- I just don’t understand.

Depends whether you plan to go off-roading and what kind of wheeling you do. I do rock crawling in places where a bumper can easily be ripped off. Plus I've already had the bumper hit 3 times on-roading, so the metal will hold up much better than the cheap plastic stock one. For me it's a no-brainer to replace it with something that has recovery points and LED lights. I'll be replacing the front bumper as well with a winch. Hopefully within a year I will be putting on a 3" lift and 33" tires to complete my vision for the truck, which is a daily driver that has some serious off-road capability. The fact it's a new truck is not really relevant to me, this is what I bought it for.

Makes sense, I didn’t realize the bumpers were that fragile. Thanks for your time

They're only fragile if you abuse them like I do lol. After driving the truck for a year I love it even more than the first day I drove it home. Really impressed with how they handle both on and off-road. I'm still amazed with the abuse it can take after a day of hard wheeling and then drive back home comfortably on the highway like nothing ever happened.

Man that’s great to know!! Hopefully someday soon I’ll be able to push mine a little closer to it’s limits. For now all it’s seen is the garage and the rural streets around where I live about an hour south of Atlanta. Bought it just in case I needed it off-road and the fact that the 4WD Tacoma is the best looking truck made. Hearing all these stories has got me praying for snow and thinking about taking vacation near a lot of cool trails! Lol

I think this is after the lift but before tires. I haven't taken a pic since the first one right after the tires.

In every picture of an Army Green truck, the color seems a little different. Whether this is due to variations in lighting, or sensitivities of the cameras, still, there's something unique in the way this color renders itself. I can look at my truck, and the color seems slightly different on any given day.

Well, she finally arrived. Been waiting since late November. Went to sign the papers today, then dropped her off to get the lift/tires/wheels put on. Once I get her back, hopefully tomorrow, I'll add the Hiline bumper, and all the other 3,000 mods I've bought since Christmas. Teaser pic for now. I'll post more when I get her back. Pretty damn excited. Thanks for all the great advice!!

Thanks COL. While it was rough saying goodbye to my 06 Sport, I got over it pretty quick. I'm in Orlando, and apparently a guy from Tallahassee, about 4 hours away, saw this online, and hauled ass to the dealer this morning, only to find out it was already sold. He was there when I got there and was pissed. I guess Toyota, or my dealer didnt mark it reserved, or sold. I dont know. The guy was screaming in the lobby. While I was filling out all the paperwork, about 4 people popped in asking if it was available. I guess AG is a pretty desirable color, and hard to come by. Oh well, she's mine now.
