How many of you guys are getting paid to use your firearms at work? I mess with my guns once, twice a week, used to shot a the range like twice a month. Never had to think about life and death instant decisions being made in a days work.

    I thank you all.

I was infantry for 12 years. My issued gun was less decked-out than my personal guns and I trained with my personal guns monthly, weekly when I competed.

I wish. My civil service job says that I now have to rely on United States Air Force Security Forces to provide for my protection at work.

I was in house security/first response for my privately held company for the last 14 years. I was a personal agreement with the company owner and myself. I would carry my firearm and provide first response to any incident requiring security. The company paid for my insurance policy, covering any incident on company property or otherwise, which was the only reimbursement for our agreement. We never had a carry concealed policy. The boss basically treated the issue as out of sight out of mind.

    Edit
We closed our corporate office last September, so now I'm only security for CINCHOMELANT

Are they still doing contracted gate guards or do they have SF's manning now?

Its probably a mixture. Mostly SFs, with actual Fed LEO guys interspersed. Must have made a push. My uncle was a contracted security at a base, now he's a GS LEO there.

I've seen contracted security when SF units are deployed and although most of them were okay, I'm not entirely sure some of them were literate.

    Army is mixed, too.

I've done duty as a gate guard running an ECP while the main gate to the base and gate security was run by civilian security contractors.

More importantly, is that a Monte Carlo, or a Buick?

Similar but not exactly the same, a guy essentially committed suicide by cop at the front gate of a base near me a few years ago. Guy pulls up and jumps out of his vehicle with a rifle. AF Defender shoots him immediately and he died in the hospital. A friend who worked SF on the base at the time said the Defender that shot him had only been on the job for three weeks.

Anyone have some magazine safe storage? My safe door works with velcro, or magnetic on the exterior?

Need AR style mags and Glock style mags and if anything works with 1022 25 rounders those too.
