Ok geeks what causes my I pod touch to lose it's wireless signal all the time. It used to stay connected as long as I was within a reasonable distance to my router now even being close to it it disconnects every 5 to 10 minutes. I up graded the software a few months back but it was working good right after that. I am on a secure network (being my own) and it always connects to that one so it's not like I am accidentally connecting to my neighbors wifi. I would appreciate anything to try.

I would take a computer and look at the channel your router is broadcasting on. Many times the entire neighborhood are trying to use the same channel. Move the router to some more obsecure channel like 1 or 11 and that should help. The ipod should automatically follow the channel change of the router.

I run into the same thing in some areas when installing wireless equipment.

Removed that stupid "Sport Bumper Trim"
There are some iOS 4.x Wifi issues. Make sure your are on the latest firmware to make sure as many bugs have been fixed as possible. Supposedly 4.2 fixed it, but I haven't updated my iPhone due to the jailbreak not being completed yet.

I went and restored my Ipod touch back to factory settings, I think it is working a lot better now at least it did last night as I use it to listen to talk radio at night.
