Anyone here run speaker wire and install speakers in a Gen 3 access cab utility (that came with no speakers and the blanking plates over the door panel)? If so, what was your solution to either replacing or covering up the now hole-filled speaker grill?

Example (it's cold outside and my truck lives in an ice shell, so forgive the horrible picture):

I was just curious if anyone has any suggestions for an easy aesthetic fix? I have a 3D printer, and I was thinking about CAD'ing out something to spec of the grill to cover the whole assembly. Alternatively, there's always just buying a whole new panel, but I REALLY don't want to have to waste money doing that. I'm open to any ideas!

I was thinking about clothing it, but if I do the 3D print I would probably just print lattice in the middle. That's easy to fill in CAD, it's getting the outer specs to align that's a PITA. Also, Toyota made that space slightly concave, which makes it an even more PITA to model accurately :-/

I should probably stop whining and just get the model made and printed. Oh well, new project!

Bumping this for my own purposes again. The 3D modeling is not working out so well. Any other suggestions on how to cure this ugly grill mess, outside of ordering a whole new panel?

My first attempt at something like this would have been to use the blank that was in there, cut the appropriate size hole in it, and cover that with grille cloth.
