Rcd lift kits

I'm new on here so I'm look for the help from you guys to help me .. I have 09 tacoma double cab 4&4 trd sport .. Lookn to see if the rcd 4 lift is good choice or maybe the toytec 3" is better ??

 

What do you want to use your truck for?

And which toytec 3" lift are you talking about? They sell 3" kits consisting of anything from spacers to adjustable coilovers.

 

I'll be doing ur norm everday driving. I do live in the country side of pa so maybe here there be doing some off rd .. The toytec lift kit that I'm lookn at is toytec ultimate 3" lift. I'm guess it comes with front c/o and rear aal .. If I'm missing anything with a lift just help me out like said I don't no much about what's good and what's not. But I do no there are good ones and bad ones like said the other other that I'm lookn at rcd 4" and fabtec .. So I'm just lookn for you guys to help me out .. The tires and rims I'm going with are rockstars 18 with a 275/70/18 open country mt tire any input would be great

Decide what height you want first:

Toytec: 3"
RCD: 4.5"
Fabtech: 6"

The Toytec ULK and the RCD are nice lifts. Don't know too much about the Fabtech.

I'm sure when you asked for input you didn't mean on the rims, but those are BY FAR my least favorite rims on the market. I beg you to get anything but those.

Also FYI this has been covered a million times and if you search for a while you'll find more than you want to know about all of these lifts. That's likely why no one has responded.

 

There have recently been quite a few thread where people who are, or have been running the Toytec Ultimate Lift Kit have been unsatisfied with the ride quality of their trucks. The rcd kit obtains lift from new spindles and the drop bracket set up, along with new extended length (I believe) front struts. By not pre-loading the struts up front this should theoretically provide a smoother ride. But remember your in a truck. It's never going to ride like a caddy. Expect a rougher (some people like it, some don't) ride from lifting your truck, and don't complain when someone warned you it could happen.

 

I thought the fabtech lift he was referencing was a 6" drop bracket lift too....

 

I believe that you only cut the front cross member for 4wd vehicles. Just the the ProComp and Fabtech kits, 2wd do not need to cut the front cross member due to the lack of needing to drop the front diff and drive line.

Ok I'm going to go with one of the two I'm lookn at 3" .. So witch one would you guys go with the icon toytec or the ultimate remember guys this my second day on here so I'm learning the website as I go.. So maybe in week I'll be telling so witch one to go with you all no more about this stuff then I do.

 

Is that fabtec a 6" ???
