Well, our skid steer just lost all electrical power and won't give me any signs of life. Currently stuck inside due to the door being pinned by the front attachment.

Of course! Who would ever disregard the pre trip inspection on a two minute job...
The thought did occur to me.
The rear window on this machine has a cage over it that has to be unbolted. Too many incidents of people backing into things and breaking that window.

Thankfully I was able to get ahold of our mechanic and he came to look it over. Apparently when it got sucker punched a couple weeks ago, the master disconnect switch got damaged and it finally gave up the ghost. Three nuts and bolts and five minutes later we were all set.

I believe the window in the roof is removable, I didn't inspect it too hard since I had already gotten the mechanic on the way.

We have a new Holland with a pop out rear window. One of the know it all’s stuck it nose down over a hill and couldn’t get out. Yea well this dude was kinda big . AKA FAT ASS and couldn’t turn around to get out. So we got the two plow trucks and hauled his ass out of the hill to flat ground so he could lower the bucket. Yea he was never allowed in it again..

At my old job we had a very old elevator located in a fairly isolated part of the building. There was an alarm button in the car that rang a bell -- inside the brick elevator shaft -- you could hear it just fine in the car, not so well in the building, someone always came along -- eventually...

The question was always asked before closing the elevator door -- "Do you need to whiz first? We might be in here awhile.."

I remember being part of a community band and in the building we rehearsed/performed in, there was an elevator just like that. You'd always wait a second or two after the doors opened, because the car would shift a bit up or down.
