You’re just killing me with those numbers. Here I am at 57 with brand new snow tires and I’m heading to the desert this weekend. Oh the torture. When can I go get me some 28? Enjoy it, just maybe get those MAX’s installed pronto so you can at least be seen on the road.

You'd appreciate the brake size. The stock rear discs are larger than my Tacomas front StopTech BBK (345mm vs 340mm) stuffed in a 17" wheel. Still going to upgrade them of course once the latest Magnuson 440hp blower is installed. Blower is supposed to ship this week, which leaves tomorrow... :fingerscrossed:

Last weekend was probably nearly an hour without seeing pavement going over the passes in the low 20s. Gotta come up north!

I’ll admit, it hurt a little to see the difference between the two in my own driveway. My Gladiator has surprised me in many ways, and all of them make my Tacoma just a little less than in my heart. Granted, my Tacoma is 6 years old now. But, it started out as a TRD Pro model... I wonder just where this Gladiator build will take me?

In for the awesome build. Definitely did your homework before pulling the trigger. 8ntetested in seeing what you decide to do with it. Also hands down the best color.

+0.5" lift over the factory Mojave lift, +0.75" tummy tuck on the full under belly skid system, +155hp with the Magnuson blower, KC cyclones tied to the bed lights and the ARB dual compressor install with a sweet tire inflation system is all I have planned at the moment. Well, and some sweet driving lights. I definitely like the militaristic nature of the Sting Grey color, but liked the Gobi color as well. However, Jeep limits Gobi to the first year of production as a special edition type color so that ruled that out. I also think the orange accents look better on grey than Gobi anyway.

I need to read your older posts on the Magnuson. I believe you had a SC in the 2015? That’s one trail I’m not sure I would follow but I’d like to learn more regardless.

And for cyclones, you are sure on them? Even if DD comes out with a rock light soon? I’m holding off and waiting on that item specifically for now myself.

Good reminder for me to get cracking on my own compressor setup so I can follow along with yours. Where do you plan to mount the compressor itself?

I put the TRD Magnuson blower on my 2015 at about 5k miles. One of my favorite mods as it makes driving the truck so much more fun/entertaining. Jeep does not offer a factory accessory option of a Magnuson supercharger like Toyota used to, but Magnuson's superchargers are OEM grade quality components so I'm not too concerned vs some of the tuner aftermarket type kits.

For the Cyclones, they were the best I tested in the rock light thread. 4000k would be preferable over the 5000k but I also really like the Cyclones form factor for the purpose. Since the Cyclones are just a puck with a hole in the center, I can mount them using these ultra strong magnets with threaded studs to the underbody above the frame making things super simple.

MUTUACTOR 4Pack Super Powerful Round Cup Magnet with 1/4''-20 Male Threaded Stud, 92lb Vertical Pull-Force Non-Shattering Neodymium Magnet with Nut and Washer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0837WY4M...abc_WAB1N5A4BCPJSR49AQXK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

In my 2nd Gen I ran the Expedition Essentials bed cubby setup for the compressor. With the dual compressor that seemed like the best option. ARB makes an underseat mount for the passenger side on the Gladiator. And since it is a Jeep, it has drain plugs in the floor that the air lines are then run out of. From there I was looking at a system like this Up Down Air to allow simultaneously filling and deflating all 4 tires to the same pressure at once.

    Nice build.

Your Magnuson SC shares many hard parts with the unit that was developed for the 3rd Gen Taco. Perhaps we can compare notes? Especially if you plan to push the performance up.

Speaking of. Just showed up today.

This unit is the same Magnuson generation as the new Tacoma 3rd Gen unit, but significantly higher output on the Chrysler 3.6. I’d speculate that is due to the limiting Atkinson cycle on Toyota’s 3.5. On the JT this will return plug and play 440hp. TBD on where I go from there. HP is a drug that is hard to deny, but I also don’t have the awesome boost resources for the JT this community provided with the 2nd Gen Superchargers. I also have concerns on what the transmission can handle. I’ll likely tinker some, but probably not as much as I did on my Tacoma.

I see this thread, and iv thought about a JT. Because of the plug and play for 1ton axles, and aftermarket support. SAS for my tacoma is out of my relm as it would be 85% custom.

    Good energy!

The SC unit, middle plenum, and intercooler are the same. The Taco has some limitations from the fuel system. If you would be so kind, check upper and lower pulley diameters. If your kit has 60hp over the Taco, and runs the same boost... wow!

Also, another favorite mod is PRP seat covers. They’re not fun to install but it’s a good option if you want certain colors inside. Still need to do the rears this weekend.

The Mojave is standard leather right? I just have a JLUR.
