I can relate, I’m looking for a Rtt that’s below cab level and doesn’t hang over the tailgate. Probably going to go with the Desert Armor “tank” hard shell, but we’ll see.

truck looks great, I may incorporate some of that into my build! Where did you mount your air compressor?

 

So far so good with the wheels. I’ve only taken them off road 2-3 times since I’ve put them on and no issues yet. One thing to be aware of due to their offset; with full steering lock, max suspension articulation and the big wide tires I just barely make contact with the SPC upper control arm. The same company as the wheels make spacers which would most likely resolve that but I didn’t want to go that route. Oh and if you do get them, don’t forget to pick up a set of their lug nuts as OEM won’t work with these.

 

lol looking thru the parts list I posted makes me think it was way more than I planned. It’s gotta be something like 30k at this point.

 

So what trimming did you do to clear the 35" tires?

Damn, $80k taco. That makes me feel better dropping $1200 on roof racks yesterday lol.

 

Tons of trimming and you’ll still rub. cab mount relocation, pinch welds folded, some sheet metal/fender cutting, gutting most of the fender plastic, Caster adjusted to max position. True to size M/T 35’s will make contact at certain steering angles and suspension articulation. One suggestion is to go with a tire size that measures out to a ~34inch and that will help.

 

Yep, some that has been done already as I had issues with 285's and my original rims. I have a spare set of fenders that I got from a member that were the same color as mine as he had 35's on his rig so they have been modified already. Thanks for the info...

As of now it’s not mounted, tucks nicely into one of the drawers of the decked system. I’m really liking the new ‘behind the grille’ mount Runnin4Tacos just released for the air compressors. May give that a try soon as having it wired permanently to the battery will be a lot more convenient.

 

I like the behind the hood idea too. It’s time for me to upgrade from my cigarette lighter compressor!

Sick rig bro!! I noticed where you put your spare 35s. Any chance if you plan on getting a tire carrier? For extra space and gears to carry. That beast Definitely can handle the extra weight with 5.29. Haha
