Everything is stock so far. 2021, just got it a couple days ago.

I've put in brighter fog lights on past Tacomas and the 4runner and it has helped. Even with the stock fogs and low beams the difference is very noticeable with the fogs on and off. With the fogs on I can actually see the ditch, with them off, I can only see straight LOL

    What recommendation would you suggest?

Here’s what my gut is telling me... SS3 Pro kit for the Tacoma in a driving pattern in replacement of your fogs. White in color. And then either wire them up separate or do the fog light anytime mod so they can be run in conjunction with your high beams. You’ll get a significant improvement in down-road visibility. It’s more money than a set of bulbs for sure (you should have the LEDs now so not even possible anymore), but you’ll see a significant improvement in your scenario.

And if you find that you get them and that beam pattern sucks you can always reach out to me directly and point me to this post... I’ll do you right on a different set of lenses should you need to swap.

I don't think I have LED lights in my fogs... They look like regular bulbs to me LOL

Sounds like some driving lamps would be right up your alley. Here's my SS3 SAE pro driving lights.

Fogs don't really help with animal strikes. If you're going fast enough to strike an animal, by the time you see it in your fogs it'll already be too late.

100%. I had myself under the impression that all of the 21s had the LED fog lamps now. Learn something new every day! Same kit though for your application.

I will never get tired of seeing your 4runner. So badass!

And thanks for the previous writeup of how you wired your driving lights. Very ingenious, I'll be using that to guide my install which Im hoping to get done soon

LED headlights and fogs are optional on most of the upper spec trim levels. (Everything but SR, SR5) It's only a $500 option, but well worth it. Then again, the halogen headlights will melt snow. I'd suggest adding a set of SS3 Pro fogs plus a 30" Stage driving pattern bar. That would make a huge difference.

For your case, I'd look at adding DD SS3 Pros with the combo lens or Baja Squadrons with a combo lens, knowing that you will not be able to turn on the fogs with other vehicles on the road as they are not fogs and will be blinding. The combos will also be ineffective in fog. I recommend the combo specifically for the flood/spread optic to illuminate further to the sides for the close range kamikaze deer.

If you haven't already look at doing the Philips H9 low beam swap to double your headlight output.

I'm not seeing the combo beam pattern for the Tacoma fog lights, only driving or fog... Am I missing something?

Also, are the DD fog light kits just plug and play?

Last question... for now, LOL, Are these the correct low beams? Part number 12361 / H9 ?

    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003YMPN3...abc_F07ZPG7F40JFV5T3E8A0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I'm ready to order. Just trying to make sure I get the correct stuff the first time.

Thanks again, and thank you to everyone else that's helping as well.

Are your fog light kits in stock? I see on the DD site it says 6-8 weeks backordered, so figured I'd double check.

The combo lenses are available separately. I think just the SAE optics are sold for the fog mount kit (Driving/Fog).
    https://www.diodedynamics.com/clear-lens-for-ss3-pods-one.html

Yes the fog kit is plug and play.

Those Philips H9s are the ones! You will need to trim a plastic tab for them to plug into the H11 connector, only takes a minute with a small knife.

Yes those are good for the H9 mod for low beams. Some buy from rock auto which may come out a little cheaper when purchasing 2 pair:
    https://www.rockauto.com/en/parts/philips,H9,headlamp+bulb,11701

Yes DD Tacoma kit is PnP as it comes with a pigtail adaptor from OEM connector to the DD pod which I believe uses deutsch?

I think the combo optic is super new so not overly surprising there isn't a ton of doc on it yet:

Ah, I remember skimming that and promptly forgetting most of it in the hype of the MAX which you just casually dropped right when I was buying some pros...

I'll have to slap the spot lenses on the MAX pods for science.

Covered in post #3770. DD Sport spots beat Bajas lasers in peak intensity due to the highly efficient TIR optics. The Max spots are far higher and just absurd.

Sweet T4R. This was mine... A 2019... I missed having a truck too much and I'm back with another Tacoma. Though the T4R was an awesome vehicle. Suspension lift, welded on sliders, steel skids, 285s, full audio upgrade and other little things... I'll miss it.
