Id be super weary of ordering anything from Wheeler’s Offroad, my ship times were extreme lengthy and when the items arrived they had sent me the wrong parts. They refused to make right on anything and I had to deal with the manufacturers directly, as they are just a reseller. Detailed write up on my experience in my signature.

order from Toytec, they are way better

That’s interesting. Mine came in one day and everything is there that needs to be for the install. Looks like I got lucky with my order. I only ordered the leaf springs from them.

I ordered the shocks/struts and coils from @HeadStrong Off-Road because they didn’t have the RXT’s in stock.
Install will happen next week. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.

Seems like others are “weary” of Cutter too. Got himself banned.

back on topic, my leaf hangers are bent up and now twist my leaf packs. I think I’m going to try the new Archive Hammer hangers with the brace to stiffen things up. Everyone is raving about them. Figure, I can sell them if I go SUA and the stock hangers would have to come out at that point anyway

The hammer hangers work with SUA as well. You just put a longer shackle on them, which Eric offers.

I'm doing the install for the RXT leafs and Biltsein 5100 + OME coils next week. Any hot tips I need to do before hand and during to make the entire process easier? I'm confident in the process and have worked on my truck (took apart the drive train and u-joints) so I'm no noob to wrenching. But I know there is always some snafu's that come into play with these installs that would make the job more smooth. Thanks in advance.

Ah! Here’s what I’ve been looking for. What if I’m going with Westcott kit up front. And wanting to buy the RXT leaf pack for the rear.. Will the TRD Pro with rear res shocks handle the option 2 well?

Anyone know the universal part number for the energy bushings for the leaf shackle? These are it from Energy (bulk-02p02843), but eta is 5-8 weeks. Need to find them or something similar asap.
    Any Amazon links?

    TIA!

So after reading the installation instructions for the RXT pack I have to remove the 3rd leaf and add the extra leaf to make it Option #2? Am I reading this correctly?

Lift is going in tonight. Starting on the back end tonight. Just to confirm, the two brackets that hold the pack in alignment go up front along with the larger eyelet?

Did the back end tonight. Took me just under 4 hours to install the leaf packs and shocks. The ride is already night and day better. I’ll be putting the fronts on this weekend.

Sharing my experience with the RXT leaf pack options 2 and 3. My truck weighs 5800 pounds unloaded so this might not be useful information for everyone.

Option 2 worked pretty good for having as much weight as I do. Really smooth ride and no "W" shaped leaf packs. But I could tell that I was nearing option 3 territory

Did a 4 day camping trip with option 2 and after loading everything up, I was sacked and running on the bump stops. It ended up deforming the leaf pack and I had to remove it and get them re arched.

I'm now running option 3 so I never run into that problem again.

    Problems with running Option 3:
    • If you're not loaded up, expect rake
    • Levelling coil overs in the front to match the back will make your inner CV boot fins rub. Maybe people can chime in about diff drops.
    • Ride is about 20% stiffer than option 2

Looking to add the RXT leaf pack for my stock suspension setup. I’ll be having close to 600# with canopy, RTT, gear, etc. With my setup Icon suggests running Option 3. I don’t plan on keeping the RTT on the back full time, as I’m able to hoist it up in the garage.

What do you guys suggest would be the best set up in this scenario, Opt 2 or 3?
Would I need new brake lines with the added lift in back? Would my stock shocks still be alright with the new leafs?

    TIA

    600#? I’d suggest option 3
Here’s about 400# on option 2 which levels out my 1.75” - 2” rake unloaded. Not even carrying water or fuel cans in this pic...a gear diet can be a good thing...

Is that an assembly error or does that retainer really go there hanging down like that like a mini anchor?

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by retainer?
