FN Fx Pro wheels show thread and info all models

Dark gunmetal gloss. As others had mentioned I don't love the look of the matte black finish on the TRD OEM wheels b/c i've never seen any in person that looked good unless they were on the dealer showroom. out in the wild they looked like crap. the gunmetal matte tho I think will look really good ! I probably would have gone that route if I didn't want something darker b/c I thought the gunmetal would blend in too much with my Silver Streak Mica (?) or whatever light silver color my truck is. They made the MGM color the year after mine and I wish I had it ! haha .. figured the lighter wheels would not be as much of a change from my stock wheels.

I agree with you. Since mine is magnetic grey it’s much darker than yours. That’s the same reason I went went with the matte gun metal which is lighter and will contrast better. Good move on your part. I think it will look great. Can’t wait to see them installed.

Las Vegas. I’m hope I get my truck soon. I ordered it a month ago this coming Tuesday. I hope the sales manager isnt jacking me. He told me he was gonna get me a 2500 discount off the sticker price. He said 4 to 6 weeks and next Tuesday will be 4 weeks.

but the longer I wait for it the more my trade depreciates.

problem is hopefully he can because they are selling these things 2k over sticker. I’m not gonna pay that much. I never pay over sticker. I was in the car business for 10 years, and know all the ins and outs.

I put 500 deposit to get the truck. Production is slow due to this Covid shit. So there are no trucks out there right now. Supply and demand. People are chomping at the bit to get a Tacoma. That’s why the are asking these ridiculous prices for them.

I just hope the guy lives up to what he said he can do. Other wise I may have to cancel the whole deal . Sucks but I’m not paying 2k over sticker. F that....

Yeah man my dad was looking at a dealership a couple months ago and there was a 2021 MGM sport with 4x4 and I was like dude get that right now bc It won’t be there tomorrow! He didn’t listen and kinda poked around and is keeping his F150 but man I wouldn’t have left the dealership without the keys lol. The markup is insane. I knew they were doing it for the pros but for the other models cmon guys folks are gonna pay it I guess if they want it but I don’t blame you one bit for not paying the markup. That’s just principle.

 

2011 Camaro SS v8 mint condition with only 54k miles. It’s in the system for 13k. I want 13500 for it but the longer I have to wait, the more my car depreciates.

 

I see what u mean. So u had to actually order the truck u wanted right ? With all the specs u wanted ? Can u tell it’s been assembled and all yet? Someone had a way u could tell where it was in the process.

 

I called the sales manager I have been dealing with. He said within a week he would have more information. He said it was ordered the way I wanted it. All I want is the tech package and the tonneau cover from the factory. It’s the TRD off road package 2x4 with the magnet grey color. MSRP is 37550.

but this dealer put a 2k mark up on these. So it’s 39550. No way am I paying for that. Because I lose it as soon as I drive it off the lot. I’m not stupid.

he had told me that he would be giving me a smoking deal on it. Like 2 to 2500 off msrp. However my question is how will he be willing to do that without getting into trouble from his higher ups for making a deal like that.

Especially when they are selling for much higher than that. Hard to put faith in dealerships and sales people. They always come back with a story. You know how it goes.

The sales manager told me that next week he should have a vin number and we can start the process and all I have to do is wait for the truck to get delivered.

worst case I get my 500 deposit back and I cancel my order with Dustin on the wheels.

Yeah man I guess I have been out of the game so long since 2008 was the last time I bought a vehicle (Tacoma). I almost wouldn’t know how to even buy one these days lol! I’d be on YouTube and these forums or hitting up u for ur experience and advice. A shame when u think business should be easy when u have a customer beating down your door for business. I’d hope at the VERY Least is that they could use the 2000 they offered u off and they also have a $500 rebate going on right now I think. Actually check out this video and even this guy may be able to help u I haven’t watched his follow up videos but he’s completely transparent and does a video where he shows the window sticker and what he paid. I believe it was a TRD off-road. Linking the YouTube vid. You prob already know all this tho so apologies if redundant. Just remember seeing it on my feed earlier and I watched the window sticker vid. They tried hitting him with the up charge too.

Yea that guy got ripped off. He still bought it for msrp. That’s what they do dealerships give you that line of BS by putting a market adjustment then negotiate down to sticker. This guy doesn’t know what I know.

if I don’t get my deal I will walk. I don’t need the truck, my Camaro is just fine and paid off . Once the pandemic ends and things open up inventory will increase.

I’m gonna give this guy the benefit of the doubt. I’m in control not him. It’s my money to spend. I can walk any time.

I’m willing to either trade my car for a fair price, or sell it outright for more. My car is in the system for 13000. I’d take 13250 provided he sells me the truck for the discount he told me.

If that’s the case it’s a deal. If not he loses a sale. I told him upfront I was in the business for 10 years, so he knows who he is dealing with.

If I lose the deal it’s no loss to him because my truck will last about 2 days on the lot before it sells to some schmuck who will be willing to buy at what they want to sell it for. Unfortunately for them I won’t be that schmuck.... lol .

 

Might be hard to project on photos but got my wheels mounted today. Did anyone notice any variation in side poke after having these installed? I was very insistent that they use hand tools to tighten and install only they agreed. Even left a first shop when the guy told me they have NO hand tools. Only impacts. Asked what happened when the power or air went out. He was silent so I left. Anyways. My passenger side seems to project or “poke” out further than my drivers side. Any ideas ? Should I go back to have them recheck. Or is it possible they didn’t tighten one side in all the way ? Drives fine. best pics I could capture as sun setting down I feel it looks even more noticeable in person.

 

The rear of tacoma's are known to have variances in terms of being centered with the beds. It's not the wheels it's the center of the axle and bed. It looks slightly off on everyones. The fronts dont really look off, if they do in the pic it could be the angle, esp if both your front wheels aren't pointed perfectly straight. If they are turned to one side even slightly it will appear off a little. If all the wheels are torqued down to spec then you're good to go.

 

Ok I don’t wanna seem like the weird anal guy that goes back to the place asking what’s wrong over and over lol. As far as the retorquing after 50 miles thing. I have like a 200 mile drive back to where I live (at parents house). Would it be alright to get that done when I return to hometown ? I asked the guy there and he said they were torqued down very good and he has never had a problem there. Gateway tire.

Do you have a side view?? I’d like to see the shells from the side angle. Also I got a printout of my truck in order and the sale manager I’m working with is gonna make the deal happen. Truck should be in in 4 weeks

What kind did u go with? Kinda wishing I had gone with predator type steps before on mine. Guess I could always upgrade them ha. I think they’ll look even better with some A/T tires. And who knows maybe a lift to follow!
