Or since you have the Pro (similar to the OffRoad with A/Trac), you could "upgrade" from the 8" to the 8.4" and do a TrueTrac like I have. Unless you're constantly off-roading hard and NEED a guaranteed locker, the TrueTrac + A-Trac has been great so far.

Well looks like my walbro 255 fuel pump might be on its way out. It’s been over 10 years.

My engine will turn but no fire on cold starts. Once engine is hot it starts right up. It definitely has a sluggish low idle start up when finally fires on the cold cranks.
    Truck modding is endless :bananadead:

Have you seen his truck?? I wouldn’t even bother with the “8.4 upgrade”. It’s still an 8” ring gear anyway.
Ford 9” full floater all the way

After talking to the wife and looking at our budget it looks like we have a plan. Working on finding a used tundra 10.5” rear axle (Toyota one ton), gonna throw 5.29 and an e-locker in. Pull the front driveshaft for a month or two while I work on some side jobs to pay for 5.29 and e-locker up front. I’ll have the front REM polished and cryo treated.

i got lucky on this one and picked up HolyHandGrenade’s rear end. ECGS put together the OX locker setup for air though. I already had air before so it was no big deal. The axle bolts right up. I switched up disc with no parking brake and moved shock mounts but it was easy. I still need to finish traction bar sitting in the garage though. Need to build a legitimate frame crossmember to attach it to first.

The truck is only a 1/2-3/4 ton truck. But the axle is rated for much more than that. For reference, a Dana 60 ring gear is 9.75”, where the tundra is 10.5”.

Edit: a corporate 14 bolt is even only a 10.25” ring gear

Nice I’ll rock that warranty fit a bit. my big hold up would be reading the front as I’d go 4.88 or 5.29 as well. Already have an e locker up front. That’s going to be rad. I think I’ll go down a similar route when I do.

It's not only about the Ring gear, believe what you want.

Yeah that axle is beef. The pinion gear shaft is thickkk! And wheel/axle bearings are bigger than on the F250. It’s a 5lug though. How are you getting around that?

I believe it has a conversion to 6 lug Toyota on the ends if I recall.
