I have the Hero9 GoPro. It has a setting for Superwide, Wide, Normal and Horizon Leveling. Depending on your model of camera, try changing this setting and see if it helps.

My 2019 off road doesnt have it. Got it a month or so before the 2020s came out. The guy at safelite said the 2017s have it if I remember right. The windshield safelite replaced my factory one doesn't have it either

Here in Arizona windshields are replaced often. When the time comes I may replace my 2021 windshield with a 2018, which has the GoPro mount as well as the other electronics (TSS) of the 2021.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
Hitting the trails today and GoPro is already mounted and ready to go. Makes some good video mounted at that point. Doesn't obstruct passengers even.

Not a GoPro (though I've mounted mine there once before) but my dashcam works perfect there. I just cut one of the GoPro mounts I had in my bag of parts and glued it to the camera mount. I've found the video to be quite decent in terms of view.

When I called Safelite for windshield replacement, they asked whether I had the GoPro mount or not. Same price with or without.

    Let's see...
    • Rear view mirror. This is a shiny object that lets you see what's going on behind you, sometimes useful while reversing. Although, per Raul Julia in epic film The Gumball Rally what is behind you doesn't matter, so I'm violating some rule there.
    • A ScanGauge II on a BlendMount. I recently had it updated so I can monitor engine oil temperature and front differential temperature in addition to the standard options of voltage and coolant temperature
    • The other block is the motion sensor for my dash camera. I used an Aukey OBDII power port to power my camera. That black box is a motion sensor which detects motion and then turns the camera on for a set period of time. It would be useful in a parking lot or to see if anyone's snooping around your vehicles at night. I had to run an OBDII splitter to run it with the ScanGauge II.
Nothing too exciting, but a lot of useful data in a small area.

No need to buy a new windshield. The flat (female) adhesive mount can be bought from Best Buy (or similar), the internet for less than $20. Park truck in the sun, clean window with alcohol, slap it on and wait 24 hours.

This is a video I took the other morning. As a preamble: windows on my truck are illegal as sh*t as far as tint goes and there is a dark stripe across the front windshield. So it's gonna look really dark in the beginning, but you can at least see what a GoPro records.

My 2019 did not come with the mount. But when a rock destroyed my windshield and I got it replaced, I got the GoPro mount. No difference in cost. Haven’t used it yet but will soon.
