    Good morning all.

I need to order glasses either in person or online (Warby Parker) this weekend. Also have to remove some snow from the eaves at Mom’s house as there’s a lot of ice building up. No surprise as it’s the tropics inside and the attic could use a bit more insulation. But alas, that is a project that won’t get done. As my father use to say: “let the next owner worry about it”. The guessers claim it’s going to be an active weather week - oh joy...

My FIL says the same thing. But not about the condition of the house but all the stuff they have. They have been married 62 years and they have a lot. Most of it should of been thrown out when they moved 10 years ago.
Guess who the next owner is.
    At least 25% owner.

My parents house had a water pipe break about 5 years ago in the kitchen while they were away ‘at their summer compound’. Small pinhole but the water really made a mess in the basement and the mold took over. Thankfully the insurance company took care of the mess and cleaned up (read as threw out) everything in the basement. Dad built the house in 1962 to give you an idea of the crapload of stuff. That leak was the best thing that ever happened to me and my sisters.

Just back from a trip to the grocery store. No milk, limited meat and last pack of bacon -NOT kidding. Unless I would have settled for turkey bacon. Nope. Clerk said no delivery truck since Thursday.

Went county backroads all the way into town to avoid idiots on the road. Decided to take the highway to get back home. 1 pretty gnarly wreck. All are ok. DPS was waiting on TxDot to get the road in shape. I was even sliding a bit in 4 hi....thick black ice on a hill. Only a handful of us taking it easy but the majority were hauling arse.

Home now. Gate shut. And I have bacon...full of fat but that’s ok.

    Y’all stay safe out there.
