Oh, nice, I have both of those as well!
I agree, if someone made a '85 Toyota Pickup (not even from BTTF) in a larger scale, I would buy in a heartbeat!

Late last year the yellow one was trending at $150+ on Ebay. I almost bought one when I found one for just $100 but it seemed like all the money for it. I was looking last week and found they were either re-released or widescale released and I got it for $70 shipped. The Pursuit Special is my second one. I had the first release without the white lettered tires, but it alwasy drove me nuts so when they re-released it with the correct tires I bought one and resold my old one. The AutoART Road Warrior version is unreal, but they trade in the hundreds these days. When they first came out I was in college so the $150 original price was just too much. If I could find one for $150 these days I'd grab it.

The next three I'm after are the older Ertl FnF cars, Dom's RX-7, the heist Civic and Brian's Evo from 2F2F. I've already got the Supra and the Eclipse, so that will finish the set for what I want. Then I'll maybe get a Hot Wheels Herbie to replace my Johnny Lightning one that doesn't look very good and call my collection done, at least until they release a Tacoma or 84-95 Pickup.

Wow, you weren't kidding about the AutoART model, it is going for $500+ on ebay! The Interceptor I have is made by AutoART, but since I got it, I haven't looked to see what people are asking for it on ebay, but I can imagine a stupid amount of money.

I'm not into them, but wouldn't mind owning this one as I own a real one.
Long discontinued, but you're right, they're fetching insane prices.
But damn, this one is cool...

You probably already know this but just in case, Hot Wheels did make Marty’s back to the future truck. They are getting good money for those too.

These look great! You should post them in the Hot Wheels thread. I know it says Hot Wheels but it’s really every die cast and larger scale cars. There is even a few custom built models from RLoody that has a very large model collection I would love to have.

Which variant do you have? I know they did a RW one, the so-called tuned one which was from MM1 and then the dirty RW one. The MM1 one is much nicer than my Greenlight which doesn’t have an opening hood, but it does have the MFP badge which is nice.

I have seen it. I thought it was a custom made by someone? I still have all my Hot Wheels from when I was a kid but they’re all banged up or sharpied black.

I’m so far below the ability of anyone in terms of what I’ve customized. This is literally my first go. I should snap some pics of what I’ve got though.

There is someone in Australia who converts the yellow Interceptor to a Big Bopper replica and it’s amazing, but I’m sure he charges in the $100s for it. He makes one that looks like it after it goes through the caravan jump and it costs $1,000 plus shipping to the states.

They do ask a lot on eBay but I have seen them at toy shows cheaper.

1987?! Urgh! I wish I was into the smaller scale stuff. Playmobil is doing a Marty truck in May.

    https://www.playmobil.co.uk/back-to-the-future-marty-s-pick-up-truck/70633.html

    That's pretty awesome!

These are the Big Boppers. I guess he's looking into doing a March Hare too. I'd be a buyer at $150, but I just don't see that being sub-$300.

That's the $1,000 AUD crashed Big Bopper. It's fantastic.

Amazing. That is some awesome work on the crashed big bopper.

On a side note, if I ever win the lottery I would find me an Australian 1973 Ford Falcon XB coupe 4 speed with 351 Cleveland V8.

Its the AutoART model, from the first movie. The only thing that has disappointed me is the scoop for the blower is tarnishing, but I don't want to try and clean it as it is just chrome covered plastic.

Super jealous. Now I want to see more photos of your collection!

Part of me wants to swap out some of my old Ertl for “better” cars, like some of the higher end Kyosho, Ottomobile or Ignition, but at $100-200+ a model it’s hard to swallow.

Sure, I'll send you a PM, so not to clog up the thread. Most of the models I have are "higher end", like AutoART or GMP, but it is years in the making, and I found most going to swap meets at good prices. I have found, if you really like collecting model cars, it is worth it to buy the high end stuff (the GMP stuff I have has working crank up windows!).
