Finally joined the skinny ranks with these new 255/75/17 Cooper AT3 4S'. Though, looking at them now, maybe this size does not qualify as "skinny"? Either way, I could not be more satisfied by the results.

I think these look great...may just be my next upgrade with a 2" lift and some ucas. This is also the first time I've seen the R/T category. Very nice.

How much of an extra lift does 255/85/16 give you going from a 265/75/16?

I had adjustable coils with 2.25" of lift in the front and a stock leaf pack in the rear with Sumo Springs and 1/2" block in that pic. I Just switched over to a Stage 1 Ironman Nitro Kit. There is a pic of my truck in that tread (Ironman cell Foam in the suspension forum)with the new lift, but I mounted new tires. 255/85/16 Falken MT's. They never rubbed with the old setup and did not rub with the new setup either.

Got my fourth flat on the original Goodyear Kevlars at 26,000 miles. Tread is almost gone. So I ordered four General Grabber A/TX 235/85r16 tires. Truck is completely stock. Looking forward to getting these mounted.

You're going to like those tires. I have them in 265s...I bought the standard load versions because I didn't know any better at the time. After 32k miles the tread still looks great. I have beat the hell out of them, but the sidewalls are in tact. No flats.

I want skinnies, but these things won't wear out fast enough :D

I have the same tire in 285/75-16for my 1992 Toyota. Not skinny and not subtle. Haha.
The Tacoma spends more time on the road than the Pickup so MPG matters more.

Still no issues with rubbing/digging them? Hung-up on 255/75 vs 265/70s with same wheel on a 2020 Sport.

Zero problems with rubbing, BUT, I've yet to get these out on the trail. Still, I don't expect much difficulty since, even with the factory mud flaps on, there is plenty of room for clearance. I did remove my Sport's front air dam before the new wheels went on, so I'm not sure that's an issue or not. I suppose up-travel is an unknown to be discovered on the trail, but again, this isn't that big of a tire.

Overall, so far, I couldn't be happier with this combo.

Thanks, minimal off-roading situations for me where up-travel will be a serious consideration. Just snow and dirt roads.

Anybody in san diego interested in km3s 255/75r16s? 2 are less than 2k mi. 2 are about half tread. The 2 half treads are too noisy for my liking.

Think those 33x10.5 would fit on a stock OF with 17” sport/4runner wheels?

I have joined the skinny crowd (to match my physique).

General Grabber A/TX, 235/85-16, stock truck. Factory tires were nearly bald at 26,000 miles. Now I own nothing but General Grabber tires on our three vehicles.
