Thats the thing too... I have bad driveline vibes too. I don’t understand why everything started happening at the same time though. Truck drove like a dream before

Can you change the TC locking/unclocking settings in vftuner?

Yes, but you will find that changing accelerator/throttle limits will give more benefits even with stock torque converter settings.

One thing i can add now that i can think of as well is how a little bit before this issue started, i also started feeling my gas pedal and floor boards vibrate related with engine rpms .. gas pedal feel is like a buzz almost like a cell phone vibration always below 1500 RPMs

Update: Just came back from the dealership. The service manager said I’m on his list for whenever any new tsb comes out he will call me right away and that there’s nothing he can do at the moment for the truck. He doesn’t want to throw parts at it and not have the issue solved. He said he can promise the the transmission will not fail because of the vibrations I’m having and that if he were to replace the converter, and send it back to toyota for inspection and the converter is fine, toyota will not cover the work done.

screw this. I’m getting the OVtune done today.
Would my best bet be the 87 octane tune or 93??? Thanks everyone

Very strange how some are complaining about these issues, and others as myself don't know what their complaining about. Imo, these trucks are cookie cut, they should be mostly all good, or all bad. I've got nearly 7k miles on my 2020 sr5...its gotten even better as i use it more. Yeah, its got a crazy squeak that comes and goes with the weather, and a weird quirk with the temp gauge, but the ride compliance has really improved vs when i first owned it.

Up to you. I, personally, drive premium. But I live in a place where premium is cheaper than regular in other parts of the country, and I only put about 15 miles a day on the truck, so I don't fuel up as often. YMMV.

I think a lot of it has to do with you daily driving speeds. The roads around me are all 45, so it is an annoyance. If I didn't drive 45-50 all of the time it wouldn't bother me at all.

I drive those same speeds everyday 45-50 mph, up to 55 at times. Maybe once a week or two i go faster on the major highways. Transmission and the trucks power seem perfectly matched on my truck. Truck is a joy to use.

Sometimes I think it's just because I'm OCD with vehicles... my wife would never even question it. Gas pedal and go.
There's enough trucks with the same shudder characteristic that this can't be just a one off issue.

I never claimed this problem is one off, it just seems weird to me that others have it while many others as myself don't. I always thought these trucks are basically cookie cutter built. You'd think most of them would have no issues as such, or they all would be bad. Gotta be some sort of qc problem. Usually all manufactures accept a 3% or so problem with their quality. I don't know what the percentage of the trucks that are having this issue. Usually your only going to hear the ones with it the cry the lousiest.

Some people are more sensitive to vibrations than others. Myself...my OLD ass kinda likes that vibration especially on long trips! :bananadance:
