So I added some 1 in Bora spacers to push my wheel out to clear my reservoirs and UCA's. But it's looking more like I will most definitely run inside my wheel well and fenders lol. I'm going to pull my suspension tomorrow, install 650x14 springs (I have 600x13) to try an add a little bit of hieght up front, and I'll cycle my suspension to see exactly what I'll hit stuffed and at full lock. Hopefully I can dodge my fenders, but if not, I already have a back up plan :sawzall:20210201_170351.jpg 20210201_170255.jpg

If you look close the front bumper sides are cut almost 3" and had to trim a bit off the flare and fender on the back side of the front tires. Rear is uncut. I still have stock fender liners as well, fronts are heavily reshaped and refastened. Daily driving no rub at all but front and rear both rub at full stuff when wheeling, ripped a rear flare off about a month ago but i was way heavy on the throttle and my fault.

Bumper cut: see its rounded heavily but sorta matches the rear flare lines.

I can’t believe that’s all you had to trim.

I’ve only got 295s... on 3.5” bs wheels (which is a little further out than yours... I know that makes some of the difference) but I had to cut a hell of a lot more than that, including pulling the flares and trimming the fenders and fully losing the fender liners.

Have an aggressive CMC. Flattened pinch weld etc.

    (Mud for dramatic effect!)

After a couple of pretty aggressive off-roading trips, I figured out that I’m rubbing the firewall just in from the pinch weld, and on my inner fender in numerous places.

For me to run 35s... which I’d like to do, I’d have to cut into the firewall and weld some new sheet metal...

this is from eatsleeepstacos on here. What he did to run his 35s...⬇️

Before cutting into the firewall for 35's personally, I would either look into different backspaced wheels or limit up travel.

Except my truck is being built to used for wheeling...

I chose 3.5” backspace wheels because it’s the minimum clearance for the rear shock relocate I’m putting in with 295s. When I go 35’s it won’t even be enough, and I’ll have to run a spacer.

And... logically if you limit up travel with a bump spacer or something, to not have to cut into the firewall, then you limit up travel.

And since my truck is built for rock crawling, squeezing every inch of ground clearance and increasing up and down travel is my goal. So me personally I’d rather hammer and cut the firewall, when it’s time to go 35s to maximize travel.

Yeah, I am not a hardcore wheeler at all. Sounds like you have good build plan.

Me too I guess. It wasn’t till these last couple wheeling trips that I noticed the rubbing on the inner fender and firewall with my 295s. Which means I apparently wasn’t trying hard enough before. :notsure:

I’m about 10-11 city no armor, stock gears. Hard to say on highway, probably 14.
