What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Regular old TRD faux beadlocks. Black plastidip on the rings and they didnt put the center cap back on yet.

I wish the TRD wasnt in red letters on the center cap and the cap wasnt shiny

 

Why not plastic dip the center cap?

 

Ask them nicely to keep/show you some of the old fluid......

Ultra gauge MX 1.4. I just now calibrated the distance to account for the larger wheels and tires. The oil miles will get zeroed again when I change it soon. The transmission code had to be modified in the unit for it to work, which Ultra gauge has that code available. I have a Spiker Industries A-Pillar mount on the way too.

 

I bought it on carparts.com. it comes primed you still have to paint it.

 

There’s a place online where you can purchase decals that go over the red TRD logo

I'm getting grooves worn in the inner CV boot. It's only a matter of time before they tear. I will not be replacing boots every 6 months.

While reading that post I was thinking "how hard did he send it?"
I'll also be using RCI skid plates and I do light off-roading.

 

you'd be better of doing the boot slide mod.

 

boot slide and when they blow, buy cvj high angle axles

or

lower lift

 

You will really like the new mount. I had the same one with the suction cup. It worked but this one is better.

On the new to me truck I did the uni filter mod. Changed both the engine and cabin filter. (The cabin looked like it had never been replaced.) Now about to use it to take my lady out for valentine's. Also the CV boot slide does work well. I did it on my last truck. I dont know if I'll be lifting this one but.... probably will. Haha Eibach 2.0 coilovers maybe

It’s a piece that covers the emblem. Has double sided stickie tape.
Few different companies out there that make them. i found this one on eBay.

Wife wanted to get out of the house before the snow tomorrow, so we went out to the local OHV area.Let her drive for some of it. She’s so comfortable being the passenger, thought it would be good to let her feel the steep drop ins where you can’t see the road. And the off camber turns and some good medium sized steps. She did great. And had fun.
