I'd own one. They're slow, but will go anywhere

I have a broken bolt extractor inside a broken off mounting bolt on my Ramsey RE8000. The internet has told me that using a dremel and grinding away the extractor is one of my few options. Oh and there is a large chunk of material missing by the mounting bolt next to it. The guys I bought it from mounted it on a standard bottom mount winch carrier is what happened. Seriously considering selling it and putting the funds into another winch right now lol.

Interesting. I'm trying to figure out what they have over something like a regular dirt bike. I guess the COG is really low? And I guess they'd have to be geared really low.

Plus being able to put fuel in the rims

Adds length of trip and helps keep the COG even lower

Holy crap that's an expensive winch, had to look up the model. If you give up just go take it to a machine shop, I can guarantee it's cheaper than a new winch. I have a shop I take all my stripped fasteners I can't remove to, I've had to have two fasteners on my Supercharger drilled, re-tapped, or welded.

So backstory. I have a bad relationship with the machine shop that damaged my 04 Taco spindles during the 4WD conversion. So I refuse to give them business. When I bought this winch I was with my old buddy/roommate who I no longer get along with. He said "hell yeah bring it by the shop and we'll get this fixed easy" and now he won't even talk to me. He works at a different machine shop in town.

So I'd have to see if we have any other machine shops in town that deals with walk in customers and small jobs like that.
