My awesome GF and parents are going to get me something I want for my truck for Xmas. I have decided it will either be Wet Okole seat covers or a set of sliders (The Relentless ones look sweet). They are Going to cost roughly the same and they are going to split the cost for whatever it is I am going to get.

    Some things to consider...

My seats are in good shape but do have stains from the previous owner.

I plan on lifting it in the near future. 5100's and a new leaf pack. I got a $600 check from my bank for my credit card reward program so I will be using that for the lift. :woot:

I don't do a lot of wheeling but would like to go once in a while. I haven't been for years but can't wait to do it again. I won't be doing anything crazy but I would feel more comfortable with some sliders. Also I like the idea of the door ding protection haha.

So, I'm torn. Every time I look at my truck I wish I had some sliders and every time I get in I wish I had some wet okoles.

So, if you were me, what would you ask for?

I say Wet Okoles, and I'm thinking primarily on resale value.

If you have the seat covers, you keep the seats looking relatively clean, from you at least. Therefor, resale value is up.

If you get sliders, you will be more tempted to go off roading, and more tempted to push your truck, because you have the "protection", therefor, resale value is down.

    Well, couple things:
Is your truck 4x4? I know there are prerunners that do have sliders but generally I think they aren't necessary for the kind of offroading that prerunners do.(again, this is just general talk, I realize prerunners are pretty damn capable) If you don't wheel too much, or at least not where you would need sliders, then probably the Wet Okoles. But I say get the sliders, and use it as motivation to offroad a hell of a lot more:D

It is a 4x4 and I like your thinking. :D I may get really lucky and be able to pull off both! Then I just need to order my shocks, leafs and eventually tires! Damn this site

:anonymous: I have no idea what you are talking about

Well, nothing is final yet, but if I can get them for as a gift I obviously would not be setting it up. If you wanna do it, let me know and I'll see what I can do to help!

I voted Wet's just because you said you dont offroad often but plan to.... so i would say the seat covers because you will use them more right off the bat, but def get them sooner or later.

I vote the Wet Okoles because they have saved my seats from the coffee spills & dog paws.

Its really a hard choice. I have both and like both.

Sliders can save you a lot of money in body damage.

What would you rather have, a stain on your seat or a dent in your rocker panel?
