Good Morning headed to the mountains to feed the deer.Winter Weather Advisory till noon. dumb i know but son was going by himself if i didnt go so i will drive.he never really got the skills to drive up in there in ice n snow and in the younger days thats what we did for fun.snow storm,case of beer and off we went.

 

Good morning. Bitterly cold in Hereford Tx. 5 deg with -15 chill and about 5” of snow over night

 

I'll jump in the hot dog conversation. We eat them here often. Truth be told, I love sausages: Kielbasa, brats, Italian sausage, hot dogs, etc. We get a beef hot dog and broil them. My preference is with mustard, onion and sweet pickles. If they are leftover and I am in a hurry (say a quick lunch) I just put some Heinz ketchup on it (blasphemy, I know @CVYota!). For kielbasa and brats, it's a brown mustard with kraut - if available. For Italian sausage, it's mustard or a tomato sauce with some mozzarella.

Yep same here with the snow and beer. There is a dirt mountain road near us call 'The Gilbert', always head up it and then run the dirt road across the top of the mountain called 'Broad Mountain Road'. Only single lane so when you met someone headed opposite direct you both move over as far as possible. Sometimes stopping beside each other, shooting the breeze, passing whatever you had back and forth. Those days are long gone.

 

Yup, we'll be heading up the frontage road along I-70 today. One of those roads that is off the beaten path but right next to the beaten path just in case things get dicey. Lots of fresh snow in higher elevations and more expected. Gotta get out of the house.

Just because you are willing to subject yourself to the evils of unpalatable, undercooked hot dogs... does not mean they are in any way, shape, or form worthy of consumption to the rest of us.
