    I guess I’m a: I am happy with what I know and will not expand my horizons person.

    of course it’s not different than eating cold cuts. Check those statements: when I was a kid, I visited Europe with my grandmother and had Vienna sausage cold from a can. They didn’t have hot dogs and I was on a hunger strike from the boiled fish dinners.

    If you ever attend those fancy gatherings they give every so often at work, they will have those little cocktail weenies, cheese and cold cuts, along with a small bowl of that sweet spicy mustard. It actually works together quite well.

    LOL... and pretty obviously if we know uncooked hot dogs are "unpalatable" then we have tried them and prefer them cooked. Personally, I prefer them slightly charred and bubbly. I even occasionally use mustard on them, but don't make a habit of it. But raw, cold, fresh from the package? Ptui!

    And by the way... I like pickled herring, okra, and cow liver and tongue. Also smoked and fresh oysters, rutabaga, parsnips, and brussels sprouts. And I'll gladly eat yours if you choose to forego the pleasures.
    You can have my raw dogs...

    Just got back from the drive to get out of the house and stayed on the freeway except for about a hundred yards. Where we were going to go I was expecting dry, light snow that made for fun driving and fresh tracks. Instead we fount deep, wet, heavy snow... the kind that can get you stuck in a flat parking lot. We entered the frontage road and right away decided to turn around at a corral gate... and almost got stuck in 4WD.
    Discretion is the better part of valor...

    Morning...
    Seattle got an unusual gift:

    I know it’s nothing compared to what some of you deal with but...

    It’s still snowing however it is predicted to turn to rain later today. Makes for a slippery mess, but I will take that over the hard freeze we normally get.

    Stay Well...Stay Safe

    Thanks for the thoughts and prayers...means a lot.

    Sorry to hear. My condolences to all. :(

    @Cold Iron
    When Palma and I were in Norway we went dog sledding and I have to say it was the most exhilarating thing I’ve done. Feeling the strength and excitement of the dogs and feeling the ground rushing underneath you is awesome. Plus, the scenery is just breathtaking. I don’t know if it is the right term but they have you “drive” the sled and give the commands to the dogs and it’s amazing how smart the dogs are. Palma didn’t want to take over the reins but after a bit she did and she had a blast as well. Except for when she wasn’t paying attention and they kind of took off and she was pulled behind on her stomach for a bit until she got her feet under her. :rofl:
    Of course, being pulled at 50 mph and seeing dogs running in front of you while pooping and never missing a step is kind of interesting as well. :thumbsup:
