1 ton first gen Tacoma

Mine sat flush on my frame I curved mine with a grinder a tiny bit never had that size of gap at all but it will all work out in end cause my fender wells inside of engine compartment would never of cleared if it sat like yours my touched the sides flat I didn’t want to move anything inside of the tight engine compartment that’s why I went with 12s

 

That’s crazy, I’m running 12inch foxs and if I tilt them any other way, my shocks are at too extreme of angles in the eyelets. I wonder if the foxs and kings are different in that aspect? Odd...

 

Ya idk mine are almost straight just a little angle but I had my top adjustment all the way up yours are cranked down about an inch and half that raised your truck up also

 

Compresses your springs more also with the top adjustment down

 

I’m half convinced they welded my shock eyelet tabs crooked or something at this point... and I’m not following on the shock compression?....

 

Those 2 black nuts are adjustable my coil nut is all the way up top yours are down with it on truck it raises it and compresses the shock down

 

Oh right, I get what you mean. Yeah I only did that to keep the springs “tight” but apparently it makes more of a difference than I thought it would. I’ll see what it does now that they are on and with a little weight. Also gonna add motor and trans to see if angles change.

 

You did a nice job with a Jeep you got a little more room though these trucks with the 3.4 are tight as hell everything is so congested but that’s always a possibility

 

Man I’m about to that point. I can’t help but be frustrated with Wfo concepts kit due to spending a lot on it, to be able to, “plug and play”. So I’m trying to make them work, but what a nightmare. I’m also learning that me doing this setup without total body and drivetrain weight on it, is severely hindering how everything sits. I guess what I’m trying to say, is I expected a couple thousand dollar kit to come together better.

 

Ya I was frustrated at times but hey we got same exact trucks I think your doing good work and everything will work out I’m trying to give you the answers to all my experimenting with this kit

 

Seriously Potter, your the man. You are literally the only person I’ve found with any insight, and willing to share your knowledge on a kit/truck like ours. Greatly appreciate it man. And I’ll keep on keeping on. It’ll be worth it in the end.

 

Not the best but doing the build it was frustrating at times and was pissed allot but worked through everything and ya everything I asked from other guys they were too cool to share knowledge but fuckem I made it happen with some great friends and family I love how it turned out snd will never be that guy as too cool to help a guy out with questions just trying to keep you from dealing with the issues I had all good buddy

 

Says to set my preload to atleast 1 inch I only cranked my down a half inch but I’m not jumping it every minute

 

Ya snow wheeling I like to have my inner fender skirts due to all the moisture and mud on way up
