    Crack has been welded.
Leaks have been officially traced as I KNOW I sealed the adapter plate good. I spun and punch locked bolts in and cut them off to plug the unused holes spilling out oil.

    Fingers crossed.

This thing is seriously fighting me the whole way. I'm determined to win this time!

Truck is leaking a ton between the transmission and crawl box. I cannot figure out why. By the design of the crawl box you can see the drain hole/bearing in a photo a couple posts above, it shares its fluid with the transmission output shaft cavity (which would normally be dry connected to the factory transfer case).

I used the 90 minute sealant upon the last disassembly and let it dry well within the recommended time. It is fine and dry everywhere else. But I am STILL chasing a BAD major leak between these two spots and it is driving me crazy. This is the third time I've put this setup together and it consistently leaks from that area.

I am beginning to speculate that something might be warped.

I'm thinking about going with the trail gear adaptor plate. There are a ton of bolt holes and configuration stuff with the inchworm plate. This might solve my problem, but I'm going to sit and think about it for a while. I have a feeling this'll be the route I go.

The Marlin nutswingers will fight it tooth and nail but that 10* adjustable adapter plate is a disaster from a leaks perspective. The TG one has far less opportunities for leaks. It’s as bad as the inchworm 360* clockable adapter

My Inch Worm adapter is clocked at 10* and did leak due to my not knowing the two supplied allen plugs needed silicone prior to install. They did bottom out but that didn't matter.
Since I added silicone, no leaks since 2013.
PS: I'd stay away from TG stuff.

You need to check out my post in this thread.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/official-crawlbox-bs-thread.422186/page-27#post-18255484

Has all Inchworm designs with where to seal, along with all the assembled sealed areas.

Also in between crawlbox and trans probably is the 4 trans mount bolts that thread into that section that need to be rtv'd and sealed otherwise itll leak bad.

Guys, I cannot thank you enough for the feedback on this.

Couple things I discovered from reading that thread-
The bigger the gob the better the job for starts.
My seal is about half an inch back in the adapter tube thing. I need to bring it flush with the end. I will red Loctite the base of it onto the transmission and then proceed to massage sealant all around where it slips into the the transmission. I'll let that dry for a few hours. After setting for a bit I will gob sealant around the seal side area where it slides into the transfer case.

Fingers crossed for the fourth attempt...

I had an inchworm plate and never dealt with leaks like that. Evrey threaded fastener needs RTV and all those plugs need it. Make sure the surface is CLEAN and scuff it up a bit with some entry cloth. Make sure the trans side is clean and scuffed up as well. I always used "the right stuff" not that grey crap marlin recommends. You are on the right path with making sure the output seals in there right, I would not put RTV on it though, if it came off that could mess some stuff up.

I see where I went wrong using the great stuff instead of the red Locktite on the coupler, and I now see why I really only need it on the transmission side and not both. I have finally stopped all leaks at this point. Went for a drive and crawl box is filled up high. So that does in fact mean the transmission is pumping fluid through the coupler and draining into the cavity. I feel good about this next attempt! Thank you for the feedback.

The joys of a crawl box!!

This is why I tell evreyone to buy a good trans jack when they build a crawl box because it will be in and out a few times LOL!!! I believe I left one of those plugs out in my inchworm plate when I first built it, leaked all over the floor while I was filling it LMAO!!!

So figured out why I had mixed results with all these attempts and wanted to share-

So obviously on the inchworm adapter, those bolt holes are like drain plugs. Since last week they stopped leaking.

Another one that got me is you MUST install the coupler tube with red loctite on the transmission side. It cannot go on the crawl box first with the way this stuff fits together. I thought this stuff simply squished together equally with sealant. It wasn't clear to me at first, but now it all makes sense with how this stuff works together and how that piece needs to be isolated to the transmission. That was probably the biggest unseen mistake I made with all these attempts.

My coupler tube is set and seal is in. My fingers are crossed for this weekend that it all works as it should finally!

I'm probably going to give Cleghorn a run about 9:30am tomorrow and test the suspension for the first time. Fingers crossed.

Thank you everyone for the guidence getting me to this point with the transmission! This crap was an absolute pain...

Looks good! I like the trim plate you made.
Where did you get that shift boot from for the transmission shifter?

Thanks!! Cardboard template, 1/8" aluminum plate, a hammer to round edges and it actually came out roughly 1000% better than my extremely low expectations.

I belive I got the boot off summit racing. Forgot the brand but once I jump on the computer later today I can link you the ring and the boot.

Looking to see if I can find a similar thing for the triple stick as the rubber boot is too stiff and putting too much pressure in low range.

And my goal soon is to find some single black vinyl boots and sew them together and makes something like this for the triple sticks.
