Yeah, don't think I didn't run the tape measure in my garage before I bought the Tundy!

The roads they be shitty in spots. Truck decided to swap ends this morning .. haven't had this much fun since a freak spring time winter storm back in Minnesota. Where it went from 60 degrees to 4" of snow in less than 2 hours

And today is supposed to be the "good weather" for the work week.

Ooo and if your in the north suburbs area. Be ready for power outages. ONCOR has brought in the storm damage assessment teams seen them staged up in a hutto this morning. If the power goes out in may be out for days to week or more depending on your location from the main feeder the closer to the substation and the main fees the faster you will get power back. The further off the main line the longer it will take.

We were informed yesterday that Atmos may shut off gas service to our manufacturing site to provide the needed volume to homes and electric generators.

Thats a pretty big step for them to take. Hopefully the plant equipment is tolerant of a shutdown like that.

It's not. We use natural gas to fire our boilers. In one building its not so much an issue because boiler water is used for hydronic heating and only heat the office areas. Running equipment will provide enough heat load to keep those areas at least above 60*f. I'm the other building we use the boilers to generate steam for cleanroom environment humidity and make up air unit preheat coil. Without proper humidity, we can't manufacture product, and without preheat coil, out make up unit will freeze and crack our evap coil with the temps we're seeing. Losing NG is a big deal for a place that doesn't shutdown but once a year for Christmas.

Was tree propping yesterday. My neighbors think I'm nuts. I think they don't recognize old man strength and wisdom.

Exactly. Plus, some of those branches are actually two complete trees, and I didn't want to lose them.

The new Taco has not had a decent picture yet. Just the driveway shot arriving at her new home. I do have a few pics of some of the old stuff though. (Is this a sign of waning enthusiasm?)

It appears I don't have much for pics of my current VW Golf R. Nowadays she spends most of the time resting in the garage. It is tuned up a bit and only comes out on weekends or days that I want driving to be fun. I spent a lot of time on the VW forums and going to events in the Austin/Killeen area. I am not as active as I was. I still keep in touch with some community members, but I don't go to events anymore. I do want to catch one of the local air cooler events this summer.

I like the function of the Tacoma and really enjoy taking off road. The 2017 TRD OR went to Hidden Falls quite a few times and I was not afraid to test it's limits. It had plenty of scars on the outside and undercarriage. This new TRD Pro hauled a bunch of MTBs to Reveille Peak last weekend, but that is as adventurous as it has been. I am looking forward to getting out on the trails and seeing how it handles. The new fox suspension is definitely more cush than the off road. I am liking it so far.

Anyone know of a reputable body shop in the austin area that does good work on tacos? Damaged my quarter panel and would like to replace it.

Went out to take Charlie on a short walk, made it to the end of the driveway, aborted mission. Think real hard before you venture out today, not worth smacking your :censored: up, and/or putting your life in danger.

What part of Leander are you in?

Been sleeting here lightly all day. I can’t believe my street is actually iced over. I don’t think I’ve ever seen this kind of ice here. Job sites are closing tomorrow, and I think it’s safe to say they’ll be closed Tuesday, too.

I’m now seeing reports of vehicles stuck between Jonestown and Lago on the hills. I imagine they’ll be stuck for a while.
