I like doing what I can, only way I’ll learn is by doing so I try and do most of my truck stuff. But yea I also don’t wanna cause more work lol.

 

There will never be any junk chevy engine in my truck. If i do a swap it will be a 4.6 tundra v8.

 

If I were you guys I’d wait about starting a swap on your Taco.

That looks better than what I could use to do lol I saw an open box harbor freight welder on sale the other day now it’s got me thinking.

That’s the beauty of a cmc is all the welds get ground away anyways! Your welds look plenty fine to do one.

Thought it was the 4.7??? I've been following the Tacundra project swapping the 5.7 in. Just the power to weight of the LS plus unlike lots of other engines they are well designed for extreme angles not flooding the engine with oil.

Speaking of oil flooding have you done an oil catch can? I've heard of quite a few guys now with the 3.5 loosing an engine from the extreme angles.

 

yes they come with new little black tabs to install the splash guards in factory holes except for 1 above the shock. Had to drill extra hole for it.
