If I didn't get out, the tow company estimated $1,200. It was $500 an hour plus $200 service fee. The dock was in San Francisco and I was 20 feet off the coast of San Leandro.

I'm starting to think about the conversion again but just don't want to spend any time trying to chase down parts. I just can't devote that kind of time to it anymore, even if the pandemic ended tomorrow. Since Tyler doesn't want to track down the components I need, I'm thinking I'll see about just purchasing a rebuilt trans from a shop. Can't be that bad, right?

 

i'd trust a low mileage used trans over a rebuilt trans unless it was rebuilt by a reputable trans shop
