I have a few tiny modifications that I am going to get tweaked this week. Then going to make 6 units, have them painted flat black and etched with BDRM on it.
I will take some photos of the finished product install which won't be too many since the install is quite simple since there are only 5 small mounting screws to install.

 

Definitely interested. Will be watching this thread but please let me know if you're going to be selling these.

I used it for a mic but it can be used for a cell phone…

 

Cool Ideas - I encourage you to take a look at the 1/4-20 optics and camera accessories. There are basically unlimited options for camera accessory mounting, and they're cheaper than some of these phone mount systems. Then, you can pull the phone with the mount and put it directly on a tripod, or whatever for cool trail shots. All interchangeable!

Yep and some selfie sticks already come with a 1/4-20" threaded cell phone holder. Everyone has 2-3 of those in various states of disrepair

I like the idea of this. Is the magnet strong enough that the phone doesn't pop off on bumps?

 

no issues so far. haven't done any off-roading with it, but around town, etc its very stable and doesn't move.

 

I had to take my design to another shop that wanted to work with me to get this idea to production. Getting 10x pieces made this week to start.

 

This works well, for my use.

 

That's exciting. Have you had a tablet mounted? I assume leverage isn't an issue
