I sympathize with you brother,, I went through a detached retina about 12 years ago, not sure of the cause it just happened. I had the same type of treatment, a bit uncomfortable but been good ever since.

    Evening all:
Weather underground has an ice storm warning out for NE pa, saying 3/8-1/2" of ice is possible, that will really stink on top of the snow that's already on the ground. :annoyed: Looks like the coyotes will be eating well if that is the case, they can run on top of the ice crust, the deer can't!

Good morning everyone and Happy President's Day!!! Another day of no mail.

We got some light rain yesterday morning that turned the driveway into a luge. Lynn went down to see her mom and ended up sliding her Subaru down backwards. Somehow managed not to hit anything in the process. More snow ice and rain on the way today and tomorrow.

    Stay safe and warm.

Good Morning folks. :pccoffee:. Hope all of the folks in the bad weather areas stay safe. Too many bad accidents happening on icy roads. Haircut day today. Nice barbershop only $12 for a haircut as compared to $40  at a shop in the center of town. I don't have enough hair to pay that much. Other than that, life is slow here and relaxing (getting lazy) with no stuff to fix or tinker with:).
Try to have a good day folks and as always stay safe and be careful.

Haircut is only $19 at my barber shop. Barbers and hair stylist have been hit had during these times. I tip well.

    Morning all:
Hey Ken, when I mention to my barber about giving a discount to those who are follicle challenged, she always says that she should charge more for a finders fee! :laughing:We pay an average of about $15 for a haircut around here, most give a small discount for seniors.

That's always "FUN" Mark, the good news is that she didn't hit anything and that she is OK. I don't like them that much, but wondering if studded tires would have helped, but then they may also tear up the driveway.

All I see there is a lot of places I could wrap with half hitches and finish off with Turks heads! o_O :laughing:

    Hello All from West Michigan,
Happy Presidents Day. No mail. No banks. Got 3" snow last night. I will blow that off and head into town to get some shelving for closet down stairs. I will try to get that installed and see what happens later. I need haircut also and will have the wife do it. I don't have enough hair to go to barber shop. I just hope she doesn't start at the shoulder and keep cutting up till there is nothing left. Have a GREAT Day. Be safe and I enjoy every ones thoughts. Russ

    Good morning all,

I have so much hair I clip it myself - OK there is more hair on my back that I have on my head which I assume came from my head in one last effort to survive. Carl, I am afraid my hair cut would be $50 to cover a finders fee at your barber.

Col, glad Lynn is OK and the car is not damaged. Nothing as unnerving when having no control on where you are headed on ice in a vehicle.

Cold walking this morning, dogs do not like this cold, the snow balls up into ice in their paws. Boris will sit and raise which ever paw is balled up with ice and look pitiful until I can clean it out, Agnes takes the desert lizard approach and off sets paws in the air until I can get her to sit and clean the ice balls out of her pads. Dreading plowing today due to the cold but there is enough I need to get it of the drive before it becomes a real issue later as winter is far from over.

Stay warm everyone and as always stay safe if you have to go out.

    Morning folks

Last day of the real dangerous cold temps and windchills. Only thing on the plate today is a DR. Appointment and staying inside.
Will go out later and fill the feeders for the critters and birds. It’s amazing how they survive in weather like this.

Welcome to the newer members and those of you in that storms path don’t over do it and stay safe and warm.

Getting ready for a funeral today. Second one in less than a month. First a SIL now a BIL. Going to miss my BIL, he was a terrific guy and a family man. He battled cancer for quite a while. It went away for almost two years then came back with a vengeance.

Good Morning Porchies! Today it might be hard to tell where any of us live!

The Yotas' are preparing for an audition in "Snowpiercer"!

More later. Lucky to have only one pipe to thaw!
