If it makes you feel any better, I discovered the stock tires are fine in 1-2” snow on and offroad. Madison WMA was awesome.

Spent the weekend inside the shop getting the lid on, side walls in, and flooring installed this afternoon while the snow fell. Starting front cabinets tomorrow. Had to re-order a trim ring for driver side window...they sent wrong radius, so that'll be forever getting here with weather. Power has stayed on so far. Fingers crossed with round one coming tonight and round two on the way. Stay warm and safe everyone.

    A thing or two...
Freezing rain started down here around 1700 last night. Had around 2-3" of snow/sleet on the ground this morning. It's coming down as fast as I can clear the driveway. I took a 30 minute break after clearing half the driveway, and there was a fresh 1/2" or more when I went back out. I cleared the fresh stuff and most of the second half. By the time I came back in to warm up, the cleared sections had about as much snow as when I started the second round.

I watched my neighbor three houses down try and fail to get up the hill from his house to mine the whole second round of shoveling (~40 minutes).

My drive to work this morning took an hour. Normally takes 12 minutes. People were either going too slow or too fast. People wouldn’t give you space either. Had several people riding my bumper today. 20210215_101602.jpg IMG_6710_20210215_185030.jpg

Got to mess around in the snow after my classes were over. Just messed around in the neighborhood then took the truck out for a drive around the neighborhood to get a little practice driving in the snow. These Nittos did pretty good in the snow, but didn’t do anything over like 30mph probably.

Didn't go anywhere today. Finally, went back out and cleared the driveway before dark.

I had to get back into the office today. I have trouble being productive at home and I was already behind before the snow. I went for a short drive on my lunch break and helped someone out of a bank that had been created by a plow. I'm stupid and left my recovery gear in my Tacoma so I wound up pushing her out by hand. Wasn't too bad though.

    20210217_102325.jpg

It's probably hard to tell but I am actually on a road there. This one doesn't have the tires I want for off road regardless of weather (YET) but they've been doing decent in the snow so far.
