You should put a couple bends in the top part so the bottom sits flush on the bed

Good idea. I have 18 left. After I sell that batch my second batch will have those bends to allow for it to sit totally flush on the bottom. They still work great as they are!

 

Looks like a good way to use the dead space behind the wheel well. What are the outside dimensions?

earlier in the thread I have pics that show it being flush with the bed. If your Lomax sits on top of the edge of the bed it will fit.

 

my son goes to school up there. Nice place, we enjoy it when I can get away from work.

 

I do not, yet. Most of the commercially available mounts that I am aware of are brackets with one or two straps and over priced. My thought was that you could make something similar to your Taco Jerry but would accommodate a cylinder.

 

That's a great idea! After this batch of Jerry Can brackets goes I'll look into that also

 

oh man those look great! I'm sick of using bungees to strap extra jerry cans down on long trips this could be great

Will it fit if I have a bed cover

 

Does your bed cover sit on top of the rails of the bed or on the inside edge?

I posted photos earlier in the thread showing that it mounts flush with the top of the bed rail.

 

OP, are they $90 for a pair or just one??

 

They are $90 per bracket. The fabrication and material are expensive but still comparable to other tacoma mods.

 

This definitely looks cool and applying some custom logos would make this unique to each person. Is there anyway to outfit this with a locking system, as a bonus something to keep these things weighted down when they are empty or close to empty?
