Gotta keep the water flowing. Ground is frozen now. Fixing to go flip the outdoor spigots back on full, and reset a drip.

The oil business is in a slump, I would reach out to the rental companies, rent one,, their parking lots have been full of equipment last few weeks that I have drove by.

I placed a mulch bag over our meter on Friday, usually that is one of the vulnerable spots to freeze.

Well, folks, we seem to have weathered night one of two. Only one of the spigots is frozen - the garage naturally - others flushed and dripping a steady stream now. I'll get after the frozen one with the heat gun in a bit, and wrap it even more. It's up to 14* now, so balmy except for that wind!

Five and 1/2" in the flat of the front yard.

I brushed the snow covering the greenhouse, and the sun is heating up those dark plankets. Up to 40* inside! Things would be pretty if they didn't suck for so many folks!

Morning Maner! I thought the power folks were leaving our small towns alone. Or, did you have a ice/lines outage?

Dam just got power back on and get a alert from Tri county rolling blackouts. Pouring the heat to the garage. Hot water side is frozen on manifold in attic. Fixing to get up there and wrap with heating blanket.

I liked, but I don't! Good luck. I'm happy as heck to only have one pipe to work on (carefully!)

We are overwhelmed out here on the old power grid. To much housing development. Big construction crews have been working the last two months installing new piles and bring in more power but not online yet.

Walked around checking on things, one of the fans out in the shop, sounds like a bearing went out, turned it off. I will have to see if there is a motor/bearing replacement, it's probably 20yrs old. I left fans on to prevent condensation and helps keep the cooler air from settling in, it seemed to help and I did noticed a difference. I was in the middle of doing taxes yesterday when the power went out. Going to attempt another try this morning, oh joy.

You should stop doing taxes! Cause and effect you know!

(Garage seemed to stay about 36* overnight with the little heater.)

Got to take advantage of the downtime now, I have to mail mine in and write a big check, and the way this year is going, gotta prepare for the worst but hope for the best.
