Yeah.... pretty sure our calcium chloride tanks have been contaminated with a crap load of water. The stuff is supposed to be good down to -25 and last night at zero degrees with the wind chill of -17 I had calcium chloride salt slush freezing to the spinner on my truck.

Also, pulling damaged plow blades when it's zero degrees... (Nevermind my damaged back lol)

In other news I really wish I had a GoPro to document my drive into work. Holy hell are people stupid. But the taco sure is a mean lean snow machine

Super dumb. Especially the slow drivers in the fast lane making people have to go around them in the slow lane. Just increasing the likelihood of an accident...

 

there is a minivan on one of the state highways that's five lanes across way over in the right lane and I was driving in the center to go around them. Give him plenty of room to spin out. I was doing 30 on the way in and this lady decided to cut over as I was coming up on her and I could see her yelling through the window presumably something about being a reckless driver. Whatever. it's going to be real good when we deploy out of here around 7:00 with our big giant yellow d o t trucks and all their lights and people do the same thing to us

Growing up in Michigan you learn to shovel a good 15 feet of the road before your driveway to minimize that, instead of 3 feet of wet heavy snow its only 1 foot . Plus it makes your mail carrier happy to be able to reach the mailbox
