Show Off Your PRINSU Rack

This is my Prinsu topper rack. I used two of the Cargo Basket add-ons (front and rear). Note that the Thule tracks on the topper are slightly arched, so I had to use spacers (stacked fender washers) on the 4 outermost of the 6 feet.

Looking at getting a Toprac for my ARE shell but could find any height dimensions anywhere. All I see is it says “low profile.” Wondering if one you fine gents could throw a tape measure up there and tell me what the height of it is from the feet (that sit on the Thule/ Yakima tracks) to the top. Thanks!

Well built rack and can hold some weight.

 

Finally got around to customizing the logo cutout area. Basically painted a flat hard piece of plastic with a decently color matched spray paint to my quicksand and backed the logo area. Honestly seemed to cut down on wind whistle, just a bit (or I just think it did, didn't measure noise dB at all).

Looks a lot closer to color matched in person than in the pic.

 

From the top of the Thule track to the top of the (basic) Prinsu topper rack is exactly 3 inches. The Cargo Basket option adds another 4 inches.

 

Any concerns with those walking off? How do you keep them locked to the truck?

Hey question for the newer prinsu rack peeps. How are the lead times? On the website it says about 1 week. Is that about true? I just ordered another top rack for my shell.
Previously I had ordered from a 3rd party but they said it’d be almost 4 weeks before even shipping it out..

 

I ordered from a 3rd party vendor but it was drop-shipped directly from CBI. It took 10 days from the time I ordered until it arrived. Shipping was expensive. (The reason I ordered from the 3rd party vendor was that they advertised free shipping. It turned out that didn't apply to this item. But I went ahead and ordered anyway. If I had to do over again I would deal directly with CBI since I would pay shipping anyway.)

I’m on the verge of ordering a Cab Rack and I can’t decide if I want the cutout deflector or not. I’m not sure if I definitely want a light bar or not, but it might be nice to have the option down the road if I decide to install one..

Can anyone here who has the cutout version without a lightbar installed comment on the windnoise? Is it much worse than the full deflector?

 

Bought some red acrylic and did the same. I agree it does seem to help the noise a bit.

I recommend cutting each letter as a separate decal and installing it one letter at a time. If you're DIY its REALLY tough to get it right as one piece.

 

Got it and installed it today! Few minor issues, but nothing too bad. Love the way it looks and can't wait to use it!

 

Update, a Prinsu rack actually in use on a 1st gen!

 

Sorry if this is an easily accessible answer, but I'm being lazy. Do y'all know if the valence can be replaced? I'm getting one 2nd hand that has the light bar cutout, which I have no use for.
