As title said, installed and broke in 5.29s and got OVTuned (87 tune) a few weeks ago. I have 35s and AT.

Drivability improved a lot. Actually, light pedal regular driving is butter smooth. The only note I have on that front is that it will hold 4th a little longer than it needs to up a hill before going back to 5th. Like it will be on a flat section after the hill and it will hold 4th for like a minute before shifting to 5th.

Ok, now that is out of the way. This truck still has no idea what it's doing with a heavy pedal or WOT. It still delays shifts and stumbles as it figures out what it's doing, especially from a stop. It gets frustrating. Plus the tinny screaming of that 3.5L doesn't help. Once it gets above 3k, it sounds terrible.

Love the truck in town and general light use, still dislike it's performance with a heavy pedal. After reading here I thought this combo was the smoking gun for the 3rd gen but it isn't. It's much better - just not everything I hoped for.

I just need to program for gearlock in sport mode and manage it myself.

You can change shift points and such to improve most of that. Check out the links in my signature if you want to look further into it.

I need to follow up here. I loaded the OVTune while I was doing my break-in for the 5.29s. I was driving very gently for the first 500 miles. I wasn't aware that the learning after a tune needed some more aggressive driving mixed in. Fast forward to yesterday, I reloaded a tune. This time I went for 91 OVTune + gearlock and since the gears were broken in, I was able to drive aggressively for a few pulls and drive the truck normally.

Completely different experience than before. I still hate the way the 3.5 sounds, but it SCOOTS. It brought a smile to my face and shifting was right on under heavy pedal; no delay or confusion. It just hammered through the gears without delay all the way up to 5th (stop to freeway speeds).
