Let's not stray from what I was responding to, as the specific point of discussion. Just this.

Doesn't matter how the signals (voltages) are manipulated, this happens :

Only that the throttle opens sooner and the vehicle responds in kind. The point I was making has nothing to do with how it's accomplished nor what the ECU interprets. I am not at odds with you on how it works.

My graph is only to give a visual representation to those that are more visual learners. Flip that bow in my posted graph, and your engine will be making burnouts with the slightest pedal input. As an extreme.

OK i see the point you were trying to make now.

It still does nothing more than "push" the gas pedal down more vs what you are doing, in essence its making the driver more lead footed

I found some Chinese pedal commanders online incidentally, I wonder how they’d compare 519B200D-DC17-435D-A92E-06E940B6810E.jpgF59D87D9-2F03-4620-8361-BDF67D4FC845.jpg

Yep, seen 4 or 5 different brands that look just like this Speed form, the Eittar, the King Booster, the Wind Booster, D1-Spec GT-Drive. All about 1/2 price of the Pedal Commander & Sprint Booster. Are they only worth 1/2 the price or are they the exact same quality for 1/2 the price. How to know.

I don’t think a lead foot could open the throttle as fast as this dude with the settings cranked up.. This video was the first I saw when looking up throttle response controllers.

If you watch, he’s pushing the pedal at the same speed. Without the controller, the throttle is limited as to how fast it opens no matter how fast you hit the pedal.

Interesting commercial, just like all other commercials, theirs is best. I'm having trouble finding info. from independent tests, someone like "Consumer Reports". It seems the best I can find are the reviews from folks on this site, Nissan Frontier Forum & Ford ranger Forum. I have found "NO" info. comparing the $300 brands to the $150 or $79 brands. Anyone who has any better info than the commercials for a specific brand, please share with us.

Yeah the demo video I posted was more an example of what they actually Do rather than if one company’s product is better than another’s.

I mean the dude’s points as to why his is better were pretty weak... “Our controller looks better and the buttons are nicer and theirs is dumb” is the vibe I got.

I too would be interested in a true side-by-side of these products with measurable numbers to compare. Or are they pretty much all the same, and China is pumping out cheaper ones?

I'm still pretty confused. It seems appx. 90% of the folks that tried the throttle controllers liked them. It also seems the same on the other side, appx. 90% of the folks that haven't tried them don't like them. I'm trying to find reasonable information I can take from these #'s.

A few mods here and there and counting....
That's $300 you can put towards something else. Ask yourself is it really worth $300 to have your throttle body open a bit faster?

You could spend the $300 on a snorkel that never gets used on a truck that never goes off road.

I spent way more than that on a "sport" hood with a scoop that doesn't even have holes for any air to flow through.

LOL. I spent exactly that on a device that does exactly what it's supposed to do! Weird, huh.
